My name is Collin Oglestone, AKA Collin Stone ( my Dj name)

I have been a Dj and music producer for over 15 years, it has been my passion outside of my full time career to this day. I am also an established artist in the fields of model making, painting, carpentry, and custom fabrication. Idid  this for approximately 15 years in film and television. I then went back to school and became a Heavy Equipment Operator in 2012 as the economy was really hard on anyone in the art field, and that is me in a nutshell.

The world of dance music has exploded in recent years and shows no signs of slowing down. It is a 6 billion dollar a year industry and people are getting rich tapping into this industry.

I wish to go in the other direction.

My goal is to take advantage of this and give back to society. I have discovered that the world needs more giving and less taking. I would like to take my passion for dance music and art combine them and create a mobile platform to do this. The world more than ever needs positive influences in their lives and I would like to be a small part of that. 

Part of the reason why I wish to make this successful is that my brother suffers from Schizophrenia. He believes aliens are inside of his body and many other outrageous idea. mental Illness is a disease just like liver disease or kidney disease, ect. You will never understand Mental Illness until it affects you or your family. It destroyed our family, my parents are scared to death of my brother. I have had to go to court to keep my brother from going to jail due to his illness when he lost his job as a Engineer and lost everything. The first time he was thrown in jail he was severly beaten up beacause they thought he was crazy. He wandered the streets for 2 years before I found him and got him the help he needed. 

If I can raise money for Mental Awareness and many other causes doing what I love then I believe I can make a small dent of good in this world.

My goal: 

To convert an old army cargo truck, cube truck or bus into a travelling music and art stage. Completely high tech with state of the art sound, visuals and art. This idea is not new but there is not many of them and none in western Canada. What makes my idea unique is that I will use this stage as a resource to raise funds for various charities and non-profit organizations locally and worldwide. I will also use the stage as a tool for such things as anti-bullying, racism, equality, keeping kids off the street and away from drugs and crime, ect. It will also be a mobile art gallery where artists can set up their work and sell them and even produce pieces on site. It will be a destination for street dancers and performers to showcase their talents. There is so much we can do with it. 

This stage will be strictly electronic dance music. Part of what I will be doing is also to showcase the positive side of electronic dance music and how it can be used for good. Who doesn't like to dance?

All moneys above vehicle expenses will be donated to various charities based on events and who hires the stage and what they support. In a unique idea I will revert 25% of all moneys back into indiegogo to fund other humanitarian and positive campaigns. This will help give other people a chance to start their ideas. 

What I require to get this started is approximately $350,000 dollars. broken down as such: 

1. Purchase of vehicle

2.Mechanical and safety work done to make it street legal and safe for years to come.

3. Conversion of truck to mobile stage and art piece.

4. Maintenance program

5. Storage facility (to prevent theft and vandalism)

6. Website and marketing

7. Permits and insurance

I would love to be able to this on my own but the costs involved to get this started are just to high, however I will be putting in as much labor as possible into this project.

If you help fund this project you will be helping many great charities and causes and be doing something great. You will know inside that you are helping to make a difference. However big or small it does not matter as long as we are trying.

If I reach my funding goal I will be able to send out the "perks" and start this awesome journey. I will be sending out Thank you cards, Cd's, and T-shirts, Major contributors will get add placement on the vehicle itself. The highest contributor in western Canada will get there own dance party for charity. I will be setting up a non-profit company as well so that it is legal and legit and that everyone knows that this is for real.

I hope you can see what I am trying to accomplish and the difference we can make in communities all over.
