About:

I'm looking to raise funds for my BA graduation film project. For this project, I wanted to keep a simplicity about the setting and plotline of the scene and let the characters and their relationship be the interest. I wanted the theme to center around frienship and friendship 'break ups' between young women since I have found that experiences like these have been significant coming of age events for myself and many of the women in my life, but aren't widely represented. 

Logline: 

Andie returns to her estranged childhood friend, Ramona’s, home hoping to make amends. When Ramona doesn’t reciprocate her feelings, both must find a way to move on.

Synopsis: 

We open on Ramona getting ready to move out of her childhood home. She is packing up her belongings and getting ready to leave. After struggling with what to do with her life for the past few years, she is finally in a position where she feels sure of herself and ready to move on. Her estranged childhood friend, Andie is back in their hometown and she invites her over to pick up some of her old belongings before she leaves. Andie had left home years prior but returns home now, lost and directionless. Andie meets Ramona at her home, both feeling tense and awkward having not spoken to each other since a bad falling out two years ago. Ramona presents Andie with an old chest full of props, costumes, and scripts they had written together years ago in hopes of setting up a theatre production company together in future. Andie reacts excitedly since she had come hoping to make amends and pick up the pursuit of this childhood dream along with Ramona. Ramona rejects the idea saying she has outgrown their shared passion. Andie retaliates by urging Ramona to confront her about their unresolved feelings rather than dismissing her. In frustration, Ramona tears Andie’s scripts. She immediately feels remorseful and her and Andie sit down and finally come to the conclusion that they have grown apart as friends, regardless of what happened. Ramona urges Andie to pursue her writing dreams on her own. Finally having found closure, both of them are ready to move on with their lives separately.
