Short Summary
When a woman returns home for her 10 year high school reunion, a decade long kept dark secret resurfaces that could ruin her life.
"The Reunion" is Alara Worrick's fourth film as a director. Teaming up again with cinematographer Ethan Steiner after "Earache" (SBIFF Official Selection) the team is ready to push themselves to the next level creatively.
This film focuses on themes of guilt, putting on an "act" in front of others, the strangeness of returning to a familiar place after being gone, and dreams v. reality. "The Reunion" aims to weave these themes together in an eery, dreamlike way through creative cinematography, production design, and sound design.

The Impact
"The Reunion" is a passion project made by a team of young, yet experienced, talented filmmakers who are eager to make something special.
Writer/director Alara is in love with horror as a genre and is inspired by everything from "Carrie," to "Heathers," to "Herditary," to Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." With this film, she explores how guilt affects us as humans, bringing up hard questions involving morality.
With your help, "The Reunion" can reach its full potential and be the best film that it can be. Our vision, skill, and creativity is there - the rest is up to practicalities.
