We can do ittttt!
Written and Directed by Chloe Lanier and Kevan McClellan...sounds cool, right? Every couple should work together, right? That makes sense? Yeah? GREAT! We're doing it! But first, we need YOUR HELP!
As actors, we only have so much control over the jobs we get until a certain point. As directors and writers, we can CREATE those jobs for ourselves and our talented friends! That's why this film is packed with our buddies, such as Josh Swickard, Brytni Sarpy, and many more!
The Reveal needs your help!
Do you have friends? Do you think babies are adorable? Do you love parties or the movies? Then this film is for you! It includes all of those things and more. The Reveal centers around a young couple who attend their hippie friends gender reveal party only to realize their own issues and conflicts within their relationship.
Think about all of those hilarious movies you know and love. The 40-Year Old Virgin, Bridesmaids, Knocked Up, Wedding Crashers... We want to make a hilarious, irreverent comedy that an audience can relate to...YOU!!!! WE NEED YOU!
We have SO MANY FUN PERKS! Want a link to the film? A signed photo of Chloe or Brytni? Tickets to the premiere? Or maybe you want to be a producer? A lunch date even? We have all that and more for your generous donations! Also we'll just love you forever.
The Reveal is a PROOF OF CONCEPT for investors. As first time filmmakers, we want to give the audience a high caliber film with heart and humor. In order to prove we can do that, we want to make a short first...with your help! Our film is bizarre, darkly humorous, but most importantly, it's human.
In order to produce a high caliber film, we need a high caliber cast and crew!
We need funds to make sure we create an epic comedy that looks, sounds, and feels like it was made for a millions. With the help of our wonderful friends, families and fans--we can make this happen!
Our goal is $37,500!
Why you ask? Our film centers around a large party. With large set pieces. And large props. And stunts. We have a large cast, a real life adorable baby (that I won't steal-I promise) a fantastic crew, equipment, and post production/film festival submissions that all add up. We genuinely want to make people laugh, but no one will be laughing on set if they don't have any food or money in the bank! I'm so grateful that our cast is taking time out of their lives to come and play a part in this experience and we want YOU to play a part as well!
Risks & Challenges
Making a film is hard. Making a short can be even harder. There's less money to go around, less time to shoot, and unflinching film festival deadlines that need to be met.
