Intro + Our Impact Statement

We're passionate about finding new innovations that can help us get through this moment. This device isn't meant to be a revolutionary step forward in germ-fighting or first responders. The intention is to solely find a more comfortable and convenient mask for everyday usage. Unfortunately most of us are still living in areas where face masks are recommended or required and likely to stay that way into 2021 at least. SHLD was created to integrate bluetooth headphones into the face mask - a simple addition that will allow for clearer phone calls, convenience while exercising and on-the-go functionality that we thought users might find helpful. By contributing to this you're helping us progress forward face mask integrations which hopefully will help encourage wider face mask usage. 

For V2 we want to be the first company to integrate gamification into the face mask and create "smart watch" functions into the face mask. Features we're interested in - "Time Worn" tracking for face masks, "Push Notification Reminders" which trigger automatically if you leave the house without your face mask. Helping us get through V1 will help us get to V2 which are our broader goals with face mask innovation.

What We Need & What You Get

We've estimated we need at least $30,000 to get a first shipment manufactured and fulfilled. Currently we're in touch with multiple factories receiving the most competitive quotes to create the SHLD mask. We're offering less than projected retail pricing for our first customers. Unfortunately we need to raise at least $30,000 otherwise the manufacturing costs per unit will rise too high for us to achieve our goals.

Risks & Challenges

The biggest challenge right now is time and suppliers. We need to find suppliers which will be able to manufacture the SHLD mask at competitive rates and provide the best quality materials. With funding we'll have enough flexibility to compete and manufacture at a high enough rate with the right suppliers who will help us make it to market.
