On September 1st of 2014, we will be beginning our voyage across North America on two human-electric hybrid trikes. Our goal will be to seek out people and communities with ideals and methods that differ those of the mainstream culture, in order to find a new way to live. We'll be investigating advancements in ecology, community, and spirituality.
You'll be able to follow our experience through a weekly video blog, articles on our website, and later the full length documentary.
Your contribution will allow us to make this trip happen and to spread the word about some great projects that are changing the world for the better.

The Tumbleweed Project follows an inventor, who is following his dream of riding his human-electric hybrid camper trike across North America in search of a new lifestyle.
Paul and the custom camper trike, Tumbleweed, will set off on a journey that will see him explore eco-friendly and self-sustaining communities that exist right now. Inspired by the artist Kevin Cry, Paul has created a green trike equipped with shelter for the long roads ahead.
James, a longtime friend and filmmaker, was inspired to take this trip with Paul. Riding an E-bike of his own, James will document the journey and Paul's interactions with people who live alternativly.
The two friends share similar beliefs; that the current urban sprawls and the methods used to sustain these cities are not in the favor of the people and the planet we live on. In turn, the current structure is causing an unnecessary stress on nature and spirit. This is hindering our progress towards realizing our full potential and moving towards a brighter future.
Together they will explore the impact these different ways of living are having on individuals and their environment. They will also find out why people choose to live this kind of lifestyle and how they got to where they are.
By documenting Paul’s journey, We will bring back these experiences to a diverse audience, in an effort to broaden our collective perspective.

soon to be the world's first human-electric hybrid camper trike. TumbleWeed features a welded steel frame supporting a single rider. Her electric motor, in conjunction with the rider's pedaling allows both to reach a cruising speed of 30 km/h for up to 120km per charge. The camper on the back will house one occupant and all their necessities.
She's street legal throughout Canada and most of the United States, and she's raring to go!
