   We are pleased to announce that the UJHP has reached it's Indiegogo goal! We say a great big Thank You to each and everyone one of the contributors.Through your generousity, we are able to anticipate a headstone in place soon after this Indiegogo campaign concludes in August

Any surplus funds will be held over for a similar campaign to purchase a memorial for pioneer Motown crooner, Marv Johnson.  Mr Johnson is also buried at Woodlawn and his grave is also unmarked.  Thank you.

  The Uriel Jones Headstone Project represents interested parties focused on purchasing a headstone for Motown drummer, Uriel Jones.

     Mr. Jones was a member of Motown's in-studio band The Funk Brothers. 

     Mr Jones played on many of Motown's most popular hits including:

Mr. Jones is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. His grave is currently unmarked.

The UJHP seeks to raise a portion of the funds needed through Indiegogo.
