The Violet Symphony
My name is Timothy White Eagle, I am a visual and performance artist.
One important way you can support this work is to share this link, like and comment on my related posts, all that helps keep this ball rolling.
I am in the process of creating a performance about people whom I loved and who died while in a place of deep addiction. It is a personal story, with the universal themes of release and forgiveness. The show will use a five person cast, tricksters, addicts, drag queens, a small Greek chorus, movement, story telling, sets, costumes, lighting, and music. This is the story of the sacred path of the ones that go too far.
I am partnering with On The Boards in Seattle to bring this show to life. OTB, has commissioned the work in part, and will be funding many of the expense. Unfortunately not all of the expense can be covered by OTB, I am responsible for paying my director, performers, designers and various other expenses. The show premieres at OTB in March 2020 and will tour later that year at La Mama in NYC.
With your help we can create a kind of healing theater. Additionally your donation will help establish my career as a touring performer. I promise your donation will be well spent, on art and artists telling an important story.
It’s my hope that this show leaves its audience with greater compassion for those dealing with addiction, while finding peace for our memories of those who passed while addicted. It is my hope that we can collectively as a community of artists and audiences come together and honor those imperfect loved ones and by honoring them may we relieve some of the tension in the world which drives us all to seek perfection.
I am seeking at least $5,000 in funding. Most of which will go to paying all the artists, designers and performers helping to create this show.
‘Thank you sincerely for anything you can offer from warm wishes to big dollars, all are welcome.
