The W. W. book project was launched to commemorate the civil rights activities and events that occurred 50 year ago in 1963. As such, the book W. W. is a celebration of the life and legacy of Mr. Westley Wallace (W. W.) Law who was a contributing voice to the civil rights movement on the national and local levels. A great American and iconic Savannah civil rights crusader, Mr. Law was a tireless advocate whose dedication to freedom, justice and equality were planted in his heart as a child.

Overcoming great adversity and fighting for the rights of others are universal struggles that transcend time, context and geography, the inspirational story of Mr. W. W. Law speaks to the power of faith, family and friends. In the tradition of African story telling, Ja Jahannes (the author) has eloquently captured the essence of the story as told to him by Mr. Law, so future generations of young people will come to know the story of this important contributor to the civil rights struggle in America.

One of the main objectives of this campaign is to celebrate the transformative impact of an individual's childhood on his/ her capacity for success and to recognize that all great people were once children too.
