The i-BLADES Tech

There are three key parts to our patented and patent pending technology. 

1) Integrated smart technology in the case

The i-BLADES Smartcase has an intelligent built-in MCU that can automatically detect which Smartblade is attached, without you doing anything. The Smartcase can tell if you have placed a memory blade on the case, or a battery blade and it will adjust the functionality it offers the smartphone accordingly.

2) High-speed data connection

i-BLADES has designed a smart system that delviers energy and data at high-speed and efficiently from the Smartblade to the Smartcase without wires.  This is faster and more efficient than other wireless technology allowing data to be transferred without wires. 

This is universal across ALL Smartblades making them compatible with all current and future Smartcases, regardless of smartphone operating system. 

3) i-BLADES Smart App

The Smartcase comes with software that will load onto your smartphone, allowing you to both manage the additional functions and enjoy the content available. You can transfer data from your Smartblade wirelessly, enjoy the environmental 4-1in-1 sensor in your case or capture photos directly to your Smartblade.

Its been a long journey, from a Dana Coffee Shop in Silicon Valley to hands of our customers.  We have been designing, revising, testing, re-testing, tweaking, improving the experience and the product. Unlike other ventures we did not want to launch until we were ready and we were confident that people would love our product when they got it in their hands.

We’re an international team with a  background in innovation, technology and consumer electronics. We are based in Silicon Valley. We have run and launched successful businesses and products. Inventor and CEO Jorge Fernandes created and patented the technology that launched Apple Pay, We’re passionate about combining hardware and software into delivering a new world of smartphone possibilities. Is there an application that runs with i-BLADES Smartcases?

What models and makes of smartphones are you currently supporting?

We are launching on Indiegogo with the Samsung S4 and S6 first. We will be announcing more models shortly. Note it’s just the Smartcase that is unique to a phone model,  the Smartblades are swappable and interchangeable.

What operating systems will i-BLADES Smartcases support?

Do magnets affect the functions of my smartphone?

No.  They do not.

Does the Smartcase interfere with my antennae reception?

All Wi-Fi and 4G functions on your smartphone are unaffected by the Smartcase case. You may wirelessly charge or use NFC features.

Does the Smartblade interfere with my antennae reception?

All Wi-Fi and 4G functions on the smartphone are unaffected by the Smartblades. You may NOT wirelessly charge or use NFC features to their fullest when the Battery Blade is snapped on. 

Do I need to charge my phone and i-BLADES Smartcase separately?

How do I know my Smart Battery Blade needs charging, and how do I know when it is fully charged?

The i-BLADES Smart app will tell you. It will send you alerts so you know you need to power up and recharge.

When I snap the Smart Battery Blade on the Smartcase does it generate heat?

No it does not generate considerable heat when you connect the Smart Battery Blade.

How thick is a Smartblade?

Does the Smart Battery Blade work seamlessly with my phone’s battery, do I need to do something? 

The Battery Blade runs seamlessly with your phone’s power and is automatically self-managing so you don’t even have to think about it.

Can I transfer files from the Smart Memory Blade onto my laptop or desktop?

Yes, you can easily transfer files from your Smart Memory Blade to a laptop or desktop.

What happens if I lose my Smart Memory Blade, can others see my files?

Each Smartblade, including the Smart Memory Blade, has a public portion and a private portion on it. So it’s up to you as to how and with whom you share the various sections. If you do lose a Smartblade, only the “public” portion is viewable.

How quickly does the Smart Battery Blade charge?

The Smart Battery Blade uses Lithium Ion technology and charges at the very same rate as your smartphone. 

How many Smartblades can I attach and stack to the Smartcase at one time?

We have designed our stackable Smartblades to stack infinitely or snap on and snap off on the fly. We will offer people the choice of stackable and non-stackable Smartblades. Of course it’s all up to you to determine how many fit comfortably as you use your phone.
