What about ring sizes? When do backers get to choose their ring size?

ThumbTrack™ fits small and large fingers alike due to the detachable back-section of ThumbTrack™ being made from a flexible rubber-like material.

We provide all backers with 3 differently sized back-flaps (S, M, L) to guarantee a 100% snug fit.


Is ThumbTrack™ available for left-handers?

The device can be worn either on your left or right hand without restrictions in usability.


What material is ThumbTrack™ made of?

The surface part and some inner structural parts of the thick section are made from ABS plastic. The thinner section is made from a rubber-like material and the whole inner lining as well as the sides are rubberized.


Is ThumbTrack™ waterproof?

The device is resistant to sweat and the occasional splash.


What colors does the ThumbTrack™ come in?

The device is available in Pitch Black and Pure White.


What kind of warranty do you offer?

We offer a one year limited international warranty against manufacturing defects for the main unit, the Nano USB Dongle and rubber back-flaps.

We offer a 6 month limited international warranty against manufacturing defects for the inbuilt battery and a 1-month exchange warranty for the charging cable. 

In all warranty cases, you will need to pay for shipping to the nearest service center.

Service center partners who provide repair or exchange services will be based in the United States, Europe and Hong Kong.


How long does the battery last?

The End-of-Life span of the Li-ion battery will occur in approximately three years.

On a daily basis the device works for approximately 15 continuous hours without needing to recharge, depending on your usage and charging scenario.

Battery re-charge time from empty to full will take approximately 2 hours.


Can I replace the battery myself?

We advice against replacing the battery yourself. The custom manufactured Li-on battery is not commercially available and is encased in the ring.

Once the battery is worn down, you can send us your ThumbTrack™ and we’ll replace the battery for a small fee.


Is ThumbTrack™ an HID Device?

Yes, ThumbTrack™ and the RF receiver are HID compliant.


Do I have to install the provided software to make ThumbTrack™ work?

No, the software only adds extended features. As soon as you plug in the tiny wireless USB receiver / dongle into your Windows, Linux PC or Mac -  your ThumbTrack™ is instantly functional.


Which devices and Operating Systems will ThumbTrack™ work on?

ThumbTrack™ devices and software is compatible with OSX 10.6.8 and upwards as well as Windows XP, Win 7, Win 8 upwards and Linux.

Does ThumbTrack™ work on Android and iOS?

ThumbTrack™ is not supported on Android and iOS.


Is ThumbTrack™ based on Bluetooth Technology?

ThumbTrack™ operates on a 2.4 GHz Radio Frequency similar to Bluetooth and runs a custom-written protocol for communication between the wireless USB dongle/receiver and ThumbTrack™.

We have opted for this alternative hardware and software solution because:

- Our protocol is more device specific than the general Bluetooth protocol
- It provides superior battery life
- It provides better connectivity (less disconnect issues and no pairing issues)
- It allows us to offer ThumbTrack™ at a more affordable rate to you as we won't need to license Bluetooth technology

For the same reasons, established computer peripheral manufacturers such as Microsoft and Logitech use their own proprietary 2.4 GHz protocols instead of Bluetooth, for most of their computer mice.


Who can order?

ThumbTrack™ is available worldwide to all countries excluding residents of countries that fall under US embargo and residents of Belize due to local laws.


Can I get multiple perks?

Where do I enter my preferred color choice?

I do not have a credit card? How else can I purchase a perk?

Unfortunately, we can only accept credit card purchases at this time. All transactions are securely processed by Indiegogo and MindStream Inc. does not receive your card details.

Why is your funding goal only $500?

We have set the goal at a symbolic $500.

We are thrilled that our last campaign raised a little more than $30,000. However, to be able to visit potential manufacturing partners in Asia and to bring ThumbTrack™ into production, additional funds are needed.
