HI THERE! AN INTRODUCTION.
Look, we all can’t get into
directing by living next door to George Lucas. Sure, it worked for David
Fincher. But I don’t have the kind of time to get rich, move, and then gain my
neighbor’s trust on top of it all.
So with that in mind, I turn to YOU Indiegogo'ers…you attractive bunch of thrill-seekers, able to fund entire projects at the whim of your fingertips. Please help make "Things You Didn't Know About Tiny Tim" a reality.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT.
A lot happens to our Tiny Tim during his long trek between fake school and home. It covers the past, the present, and yeah, also the future. There's a self-assured orphan, Cratchits who just don't 'get it', talking trees, ghosts, a moment that might make you feel something inside, leeches, and of course, Tiny Tim's overused catchphrase "God bless us everyone."
You'll see all of these in the course of a single hobble-walk home.
MY CREDITS.
TAMARA FEDERICI has written for "Important Things with Demetri Martin," "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," HBO's "This Just In" (HBO/AOL comedy venture), "Cash Cab," "Blue's Room" (Blue's Clues spinoff) and spent almost three years with "Chappelle's Show," mostly as Associate Producer.
Pieces published in Mad Magazine, The New Yorker, and NPR's Marketplace & the trivia show “Ask Me Another.” In July, she co-wrote a song for Neko Case and Kelly Hogan "These Aren't the Droids," for the comedy charity album "2776" benefitting OneKid OneWorld.

THE COLD HARD FACTS.
This short costs 15K to make.
I’m trying to do it for 5.
I've worked in tv and comedy for the last 15 years, and am excited to have a the opportunity to finally become a Writer/Director. Hopefully, a really great one.
I mean, what if I have the next Frankenweenie?
I'm just saying. It could be. Who knows.
WHY WE'D LOVE YOUR CONTRIBUTION, or
HEARTS, HAPPY FACES, and THAT MONEY-WITH-WINGS EMOTICON.
This production is funded through the kindness and interest of Indiegogo supporters. From preproduction to shooting day to post, your funds will go to making this one-of-a-kind short a reality.
You are making something out nothing. Basically, we're helping you make this thing. You have the sweet, sweet cash. You make stuff happen. We're supplying the ideas and the manpower.
Thank you x 5000.
OUR CREW.
OUR DP - Mike James, a director/writer in his own right, is the DP extraordinaire. Check out his amazing feature "Open Mic Night After The Apocalypse" here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOZUKc__7y4
OUR PRODUCER - Megan Gazilia, she gives great advice. Earlier this month, she worked with the Wu Tang Clan on their latest film. It's possible she was the first blond woman ever inducted into the Wu Tang. (I mean, who knows?? )
OUR CAST are all members of the Chicago/NY/LA comedy & improv scene. They're people you've laughed at on television, stages, and movies (also street corners if it was a really hard month.) We are still finalizing cast of of now.
THE END GOAL.
…is to send to prominent film festivals like Sundance, Slamdance, sxsw, Tribeca.
(The more money we get, the more fests we can enter!)
The DP, cast, and crew folk have been incredibly generous to say 'yes' and I’d like to provide them with as sane & safe an environment to work in as possible. And also, some stuff just costs money. Did I mention I can really use your help?
YES, I have period costumes.
SURE, I have a lot of characters.
BUT, I did take out the turtle races. So that should count for something.
ADDITIONAL FUNDS:
I will be excited if we hit the 5K goal. This is the bare bones, the 'what we need to make it happen' goal. (Production insurance, minimal costumes, etc.)
Double dog excited to reach the 10K goal, as it means we're funding Tiny Tim in a manner that we can cover our expenses. (Small location fees, set dressing, more costumes, possibly a creepy white van for travel between locations, etc.)
I'd super duper extra love to reach a 15K goal, meaning HELLO TURTLE RACES. This one makes me super happy as it means we can do everything from giving people better equipment rental fees for using their own equipment to entering more film festivals. Which is kind of the whole point, right?
Again, thanks!
Just FYI, if your money doesn't have wings, we accept the regular, non-winged money, too.
