We're in post production, baby!

Thirst Trap wrapped a six day shoot in New Orleans, Louisiana in March 2023. Now we're ready to cut the film, submit to festivals, and show the final product to YOU!

The sizzle reel above includes footage from our shoot, which was made possible by support from the New Orleans film community, a Panavision New Filmmaker Grant, and contributions from friends, family, neighbors, mentors, teachers, and film lovers all over. 

Now it's time to cross the finish line!

What We Need 

To assemble a gorgeous (and scary!) final cut, we need to hire: 

• An editor ($3,600)
• A sound mixer ($1,500)
• A colorist ($1,500)
• A composer ($2,050)
• A title graphics designer ($450)

We also need to cover expenses such as: 

• Hard drive space ($500)
• Clearance and legal fees ($200)
• Music rights ($150)
• Shipping and postage for the aforementioned hard drives ($400)

To get our final cut in front of festival audiences and acquire distribution, we also need to cover: 

• Festival application fees ($650)
• Poster and press kit design ($300)
• More legal fees! ($300)

The Impact

This campaign will make Thirst Trap a finished product accessible to audiences all over the world!

Thirst Trap expands the vampire genre with a comedy about how dating apps make meals of us all. Through the eyes of a millennial woman, our story lays bare the vampiric quality of dating in the digital era—and explores the richness of connections forged between women outside of dating and beyond a screen. Plus, there are killer action sequences.
