Short Summary
Hi, my name is Cassandra Rochelle Fetters and I'm the filmmaker behind this project. This is the End of Us was a concept that began to tickle my brain earlier this year as I was processing losing a good friend to suicide. I was trying to focus on other projects but this short just wouldn't leave me alone. Finally, with September being National Suicide Prevention Month, I felt an overwhelming need to get the film off the ground.
This is where you come in!
Through crowdfunding efforts in the past, you all allowed me to make my award-winning first short film, Breathe. The film screened internationally and won Best New Mexico Produced Short Film at the Santa Fe Film Festival along with Best Women's Issue Film at both the Toronto Independent Film Festival of Cift and Vancouver Independent Film Festival. Its next screening will be at Kevin Smith's inaugural Smodcastle Film Festival in New Jersey this fall.
Now we're asking for you to help us tell this story.
This is the End of Us is a short film about two strangers that meet at their respective lowest points and talk through why they're there. It is our hope that our audience will walk away with more empathy with those that are struggling — and offer a glimmer of hope to those that might be struggling themselves.
