The Story of Threadbare

We are a team of students from the University of South Wales in Cardiff. We've been working so hard on the production of Threadbare for months, and now we are extremely excited to get started on the filming.

We realise that the themes that we will be coving in the film such as sexual abuses in the workplace are extremely important. We hope that this film will aid in the conversation and spread awareness as this issue sadly continues.

Your contributions will help us create the film we have envisioned and give Alice's story the justice it deserves.

What We Need & What You Get

To make this film how we envisioned it, we need money to pay for things such as locations, props, costumes and catering. A full budget breakdown is included below so you can see where your money is going.

We appreciate every donation we get, so for all of our backers we'll be giving you exclusive rewards and behind the scenes updates on the making of the film. 

If we are successful enough to succeed and go beyond our target this will go towards marketing and distributing our film at more festivals and screenings. If this happens we plan on adding more perks for our backers, these will include props from set, posters and signed scripts.

Meet the Crew

Jose Francisco - Director

Jose is interested in learning, developing and improving skills to fill the world with enjoyable stories and experiences. Nowadays focusing only on scriptwriting & directing short-films.

His personal goal is to shape people´s perspectives for a better good, through experiencing feelings and ideas while watching films.

India Foster – Screen Writer

India has worked on many successful projects both fiction and documentary. She decided to take on the role of screenwriter for this project due to her love of creative writing, of which she has practiced in many forms of songwriting and scripts.

She loves stories of any kind but especially ones that can have ulterior readings taken from it.

Anna King - Producer

Anna has taken on many roles through her time at University, but it’s been the past two years where she has taken to producing.

While coming up with ideas and writing in her own time, Anna takes much pride in her technical and problem solving abilities.

Efthymia Chouliara – Cinematographer

Over the years Efthymia has taken many roles in making films. While recently becoming more interested in cinematography after choosing it as a specialization during the second year. Ever since, she has worked as a cinematographer on various assignments and on some small, independent projects outside of it.

Eden Morgan - Editor

The Editor of our film is the talented Eden Morgan. She’s specialised in both scriptwriting and editing and now looking to establish her professional career in the industry.

Her talents have made her a great asset to the team, making suggestions for the script, research and being the brains behind Threadbare’s social media.

Edward Keevil – Sound

Our sound recordist Ed has taken on this role in a few other short films and is confident enough to take on the role for the graduation film.

He’s taken the time to go to various sound sessions to refresh his knowledge of equipment and techniques as well as helping out the rest of the team with the script, story and overall design of the film.
