Project Summary
I'm Evan Michael, I have been writing and directing films for a couple years now. I recently wrote and directed a film last summer, titled 'Three Bodies'. Is it a dark comedy about three idiotic and dysfunctional friends that get the crazy idea they could pull off a crime spree across the state. Their plans go out the window when one of them accidentally shoots and kills a store clerk during a robbery. Chaos and hilarity ensue as they race to escape the cops as the accusations start to fly.
The cast and crew had a great time shooting the film and the footage looks great. The next steps are to finish the film by completing the post-production process and get it distributed to fesitvals. I’ve been able to assemble an awesome post-production team that have helped immensely in realizing my dream of getting this project into film festivals. They’ve worked for months on multiple cuts, and now we’re ready to finish the sound and color and start the submission process.
But all of this costs money. Over the last few months I’ve been working with 3005 Films to help finish the post-production phase which includes launching a fundraiser in order to pay all of the hardworking professionals that are helping finish the film. After months of planning, and our fair share of set backs, we’re finally ready to launch this crowdfunding campaign.
This is where you come in. With your support, we want to crowdfund the costs to get this film finished and off to film festivals where we believe it will do really well.
What We Need & What You Get
Our total goal for post-production expenses is four thousand dollars.
Any and all funds will go to renting the necessary equipment, paying the extremely talented and hard-working individuals who will help complete the film, and submit the film to festivals such as SXSW, Telluride, Sundance, and TIFF.

The Impact
Your contributions will help bring to life a project that many people have poured their precious time and effort into. We all know the film making process is a long, and arduous experience but the reward for the cast and crew to see their hard work presented to the audience and supporters like yourself make it all worth it.
On a personal level I see 'Three Bodies' as my first professional step into the film making industry. I have done other films and projects to get to a point where I am confident in the work I do now and Three Bodies is an example of that work. Your support of this project will jump start my life as a film maker.
In a larger sense, independent film is a form of expression allows anyone to cultivate and propagate ideas to the world. These ideas help all of us communicate and understand each other better. Even if the film is a comedy about 3 idiotic friends.
Risks & Challenges
With every project there are certain risks and challenges we must overcome to make the project successful. Luckily, this project doesn't have many. The film has already be through production. We have the footage and are ready to put the final touches on the film.
When it comes to completing this film my mantra has always been, "No matter what, it will be completed. Even If that means I have to get another job to pay for every aspect of post-production myself over time." This is one of the reasons the Indiegogo platform was so attractive. Any and every dollar raised can be put toward completing this film, no matter the amount raised.
Of the few challenges that do exist, the main one is timing. One of the main reasons for doing this crowdfunding campaign is to send 'Three Bodies' to film festivals. Many of these festivals have restrictions on if a film can be submitted, based on the date they are completed. Our solution is to have the post production process completed within this window of time so that the film can be submitted to as many film festivals as possible. Your contribution ensures that we have the best people working on the film and which film festivals we can submit to.
