What is Tinylab?

Tinylab is an open source electronic lab which contains lots of things you usually use when prototyping something. There is an Arduino at the heart of board. The board includes components, modules, circuits to ease prototyping. All of them are ready to use with simple Arduino codes. It is a simple and tidy way to get started with programming your idea and hardware prototyping with the Arduino programming language.

Tinylab is powerful!

Combine all this thing and make your own recipe easily. All of the things are onboard excluding wireless features. They are attachable modules. There are sockets for them on board. Is there a need to communicate something, just attach and code it! All the other things the board doesn't include, there is a tiny breadboard. Disable the connection of pins of onboard Arduino you need, connect them with jumper cables to the breadboard and rock'n roll.

Why we need you?

We’ve turned to Indiegogo to open our idea to you and the awesome community of Arduino around the world. We want to share our passion about this project to you. We have got real working prototypes, not CGI in video and use cases. With your support, we will get this product to market much faster and cheaper. Tinylab is almost ready to mass production, but only your help will get us there. We have expertise in designing and manufacturing circuits, and we have partnered with manufacturers that are experienced in the hardware manufacturing and components industries. All together, Tinylab can reach to people are makers, hackers, engineers all around the world.

Risk and Challenges

Bosphorus Mechatronics has been working on the diy and robotics since 2010. We have produced lots of diy and robotic boards with our group company Robotistan. We have faced various challenges of production of electronics and robotics and we have experienced about these.

For Tinylab, We have developed several prototypes. There were some technical mistakes on the first prototype. We eliminated these as developing second prototype named by alpha. We added some new features for iot applications at third prototype named by beta. Beta version has been working properly with all applications. After that, we did some aesthetical enhancements and Tinylab became a smooth product. Quantity of 25 Tinylab have manufactured already. Part of them have been testing individually by our team currently. Rest of them have been testing by volunteer community members. Even if there was a technical problem, we have ability to solve this rapidly.

Why it is flexible funding?

Because of PayPal restrictions on Turkey, payments via PayPal in Turkey cannot be P2P, thus we will not be able to receive contributions on Indiegogo via PayPal. The Indiegogo let only PayPal payments when it fixed funding. With this reasons, the campaign is flexible. But this is about manufacturing. So it's still all or nothing for us. If we don't reach the goal, we will refund. That's all.

Can all Arduino shields can be used with the Tinylab? -You can use your shileds with tinylab. But It will be not neccesary. Because tinylab has many of shields.
Can I use it on Windows/Linux/Mac? -You can use with these platforms.
Can I program Tinylab with Arduino IDE or Scratch? -Yes.There is an Arduino at the heart of board. The board includes components, modules, circuits to ease prototyping. All of them are ready to use with simple Arduino codes. It is a simple and tidy way to get started with programming your idea and hardware prototyping with the Arduino programming language.
Can I use with 9V Battery? -Yes.Tinylab works between 7-12 Volts.
