Meet the Crew
Our crew is made up of 7 dedicated third-year Film Production students at the University of Portsmouth.
-
Hannah is our Producer. After coming up with the idea, she has a strong connection to the story and characters in the film. She is working to keep our crew on track and make sure that any small details are not left unnoticed.
-
Adam is our Director, as an amazing filmmaker he has the experience to push the film to its full potential. Additionally, as a co-writer he will also be able to develop the story and create an emotional connection to all the characters.
-
Callum is our Writer, with experience working with others in our crew he is a trusted and talented part of the team. He has the ability to bring the film and characters to life.
-
Jack is our Cinematographer, as another trusted member of our crew he has proven to showcase his natural talent with the camera. He has been conducting research in how to light our set, what cameras to use and our colour pallet.
-
Shelisa is our sound recordist, as a rare find on our course, we have valued her skillset on our previous project and this one. She has been working hard researching composers (alongside Robert), as we believe having music written for our film would work best.
-
Nayan is our casting director and set stylist. He has a vital role as we need to ensure we are making each destination picture perfect. Nayan is creatively gifted making him perfect for this role. He has been gathering props and making sure our actors have a strong emotional connection.
-
Robert is our brilliant editor, as an expert in Avid Media Composer he will be finalising our film. He is a polished filmmaker with amazing artistic ability, therefore he will be able to perfectly piece our film together.
We are all extremely excited to be apart of this film. After a challenging year we are all ready to get back onto set to create a film which we love. We hope to see you as part of the crew by supporting us either through donating or sharing!
What do we need?
We are looking to reach a target of £600 which will go towards the location, transport, catering and many other fees which we have broken up into our budget plan. These things aren't possible without your help and we have been seeking many ways to keep our costs low, as we would love to have money left at the end of our project to donate to charity.
Our budget plan shows where all your donations will be going into our film. The location is a hugely important to our film as it sets the tone of the film and creates a realistic, natural setting. Another significant part of the budget will be spent on set design, this is because we need to create a visually pleasing, romantic and magical set for each location. Catering is another extremely important part of budget as food will keep our crew happy when shooting and working to their full potential.
Our main goal is to work on a tight budget so that we can have money left over to donate to charity, as our film looks at a lot of challenging issues that a lot of charities work hard to help tackle and fight.
Our Goals
- To create a 10-15 minute high-quality short film.
- To showcase our film to festivals around the UK.
- To make our contributors part of the crew, to thank them for helping to make our film a reality.
The Impact
We are all in our final year at University and all dream of working in the industry. The experience we will gain working on this film will allow us to have a better understanding for the industry, improve our craft and networking. The impact of the Coronavirus on the film industry has been very tough, especially for the vital workers and people looking to join the industry. We want to try our absolute best to make this film the highlight of our portfolios, to improve our chances of getting our foot into the door of the film industry.
Ways that you can show your support
