Does Tympani require batteries?

Are there any risks with using Tympani?

Digital ear thermometers provide some of the most accurate readings among thermometers and are less invasive than oral and rectal thermometers. In addition, Tympani’s shell is designed to prevent over-insertion into the ear, preventing both discomfort and damage.
What are some of the features of the app?

Users will be able to connect with Tympani and take accurate readings in under 2 seconds. In addition, users who create an account will be able to add family members to the app and keep track of temperatures, symptoms, and medical history for the whole family in the specialized “journal” function.
Is this safe to use with children?

Absolutely. We recommend that you supervise young children wanting to take their own temperature. And NEVER force the device into an ear.

In addition to body temperature, Tympani can also take the temperature of liquids such as baby formula and bath water.
What do I get if I choose Get It Now?
- You will receive a Tympani, carrying case, and extension cable. The App that you will use is a Beta version, and not final. We will notify you once the Full Version is ready for Download. This will most likely be post campaign.

Do not touch or breath on the infrared sensor. If the sensor becomes dirty, follow the care and cleaning instructions within the packaging to clean it.
Do not use any accessory from a third party manufacturer
If the ear is cold due to being exposed to cold temperatures for a long period, wait until the ear is warmed up to measure.
Store unit out of children’s reach. Children may try to measure by themselves and cause damage to the ear. If a child accidentally swallows a thermometer or its parts, immediately consult a doctor.
If there is a difference in temperature between the place you are going and the place where the unit is stored, leave unit in the room for 30 minutes prior to measuring.
This thermometer is intended for household use only.
Children must be supervised by an adult when using the device to prevent potential ear damage.
