We're back after doing a few performances in support of Standing Rock.
The $3,203 contributed in the first campaign is being held until the total budget amount has been achieved. We are now aiming at April 2017 for the completed album.
In the meantime the feature documentary RUMBLE by Rezolution Pictures will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22nd. Here is the official trailer for RUMBLE: The Indians Who Rocked the World --- which includes a taste of Ulali Project music.

Ulali Project performing Grandma Easter's Lullaby at UNC Asheville, recording by George Johnson.
Sung for the first time by the newly formed Ulali Project this Idle No More song is dedicated to the founding women of this powerful grassroots movement. It was performed at the UNC Givens Performing Arts Center in Pembroke, NC. Presented by the 4th Annual River People Music & Culture Fest. There was a specific request for this lyric video of Idle No More.
At the same concert some of the Deer Clan Singers joined the Ulali Project.
In creating and recording a contemporary spin on traditional songs Ulali Project will be honored to perform with the Deer Clan Singers. The Deer Clan Singers of the Tuscarora Nation are lead by Dave Locklear, Mark Deese, Pura Fé and Chad Locklear. The Deer Clan Singers are also educators. They travel to native community schools, centers, festivals and perform abroad singing Tutelo-Tuscarora and Iroquois Social Dance Songs.

What We Want
In this digital age original languages and storytelling in Indian country is enjoying a tremendous revival. The success of the group Ulali many years ago as a cross over a capella phenomenon group is still being enjoyed today. There has never been a follow up album like the Ulali’s Mahk Jchi…until now. With Pura Fé’s formation of the Ulali Project we, Tâpwê Production Projects and Nueva Onda Records are announcing the crowdfunding campaign for a brand new ULALI PROJECT album!
How to produce an album and new videos with without any money? You don’t and we can’t either…but produce we must! With your help we’ll have a new ULALI PROJECT album and music videos done in time to celebrate Spring… It’s been a long time coming!!!
What We Need
Ulali Project is a grass roots group and we do benefit concerts for movements like Honor the Earth, Idle No More, etc., Water Is Life (NoDAPL) to stop GMOs, to stop fracking and the list goes on. Ulali Project doesn't get paid doing concerts for grassroots benefits. So this is the grassroots way that supporters can help a band produce music also uninfluenced by commercialism. Currently Nueva Onda Records produced and markets Pura Fé’s Sacred Seed Album in Europe and we are extremely pleased to announce they will also promote and distribute Ulali Project’s new album.
Creating a good album does cost. With the opportunity afforded by Indiegogo we show you how every penny will be spent. (See below.) We are using Indiegogo’s Flexible Funding which means if we don't reach our goal, we are still getting the money that is raised. Regardless, we are ready to deliver this album however our funding plays out ‘cause…if at first…
Oh and remember, anything that is available in perks is exclusive to this funding campaign. The CD, tee shirt, tie dyed shirt and skirt are all designed for this funding campaign only. None of them will ever be printed again. It’s a prize celebrating the Ulali Project’s first album.
