Our Story
Full Moon Films (Formerly Full Moon Productions) is a company started by three young and determined filmmakers. Our names are John Rodriguez, Fernando Gomez, and Gilberto Gomez and we're here to entertain you. We just graduated and are looking to get our foot in the door with this ambitious web series currently in development.
As the story goes, Jared the Wolfman (not a werewolf as he never changes into human form) used to be at the top of the food chain. As the only wolfman around he was the go to actor for werewolf movies. He had it all: fame, fortune, and anything he could ever ask for. Unfortunately, it all got to his head and over time he became incredibly difficult to work with.
Assured that life would be like this forever, Jared spent his money with reckless abandon over the greater part of the last century. Money brought him friends, but eventually it was another fleeting part of his life. Today, he finds himself with only three friends that still talk to him (Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Mummy) and an agent who has grown attached to Jared and believes he can still be the star he once was in Ronald.
However, modern times have bred the popularity of CGI and Jared finds himself competing with the evolving nature of society and technology. Ever the old soul, Jared struggles to understand the changes life has brought to him. In the pilot episode, Jared is filming Wolfman 2, but due to over-budgeting and being behind schedule the producers decide it isn't worth it anymore and pull out of the project leaving Jared jobless. Beyond that, Ronald informs him that he is now broke.
This series chronicles Jared's life as he begins to pick up the pieces.
The Impact
The web series medium has become increasingly popular over the last few years, but there doesn't seem to be too many in the cinematic realm. What we hope to accomplish with this series is to make something interesting and entertaining that people can sink their teeth into each week, and on top of that make it looks visually appealing as if people were watching a movie in their very own home.
We feel this project has the potential to gain a great audience and it will definitely put us on the right path to jump-starting our careers. It's incredibly difficult to make it in the film industry and we all have to start somewhere. This is where we chose to start.
What We Need & What You Get
We are asking for $3,000, but the fact of the matter is that is only the beginning. We are using whatever money we get here just to film the pilot due to the fact that authentic make-up, amongst other things like equipment rentals and catering, are quite costly. We hope to get the pilot done and shop it around to sponsors to pick up a full season.
Everything is ready to go for the first season, we just need the resources and hope you guys can help us achieve our goal.
