#Tellmeaboutit
Kenny Mills has spent the last four years of her life attending college in The City of Brotherly Love, however her heart aspires for a brighter future elsewhere. Throughout her time in Philly she's heard everyone spill their guts on the porches outside of parties, and now she's starting to realize that's exactly where she finds herself as she moves into the "adult world"... outside of the party.
Each episode takes place over the course of Kenny smoking one finely hand-rolled cigarette. The conversations had during these smoke breaks open us up to the real Kenny as she slowly breaks down the client-porch therapist boundaries she's been hiding behind all these years. With all of her eggs in one basket in the form of an application sitting in limbo for grad school at UCLA, we see that Kenny may be in need of her own therapy session.
Unfiltered is a careful examination of the relationships and connections made in college, and how each student deals with them differently. It reminds us all that these bonds may not be infinite friendships, but the coping skills and habits we develop in conjunction with them define who we will be in our futures.
Unfiltered is a web series developed by students at Drexel University. Written by James Acker, directed by Jake Westphal, produced by Joy Weir and Wesley Akwuobi, and starring Alexis Pozonsky, this project has brought together students and alumni of all backgrounds and areas of study.

Alexis Pozonsky (Kenny Mills) is a Philadelphia based actress and alumni of Drexel University's International Area Studies program. When asked how she would describe her work Alexis said,
"I want my life’s work to 1) showcase the power of human expression and 2) assist others in accessing that same type of expression in the hopes that they will become more accepting and empathetic community members."

The funding provided by generous donors like you will be used for props, wardrobe, transportation, food, equipment, and miscellaneous costs that always seem to pop up as a project progresses.
Feeding and sustaining the cast and crew throughout the course of shooting is one of our largest obstacles to overcome as well as transporting equipment and personnel through the Philadelphia city streets. Every contribution helps the cast and crew stay fed, clothed, and safe through the process of making Unfiltered come to a laptop near you.
#Goals
Post-production we are launching a focused marketing plan in the aims to raise awareness and bring the series to several web series festivals in the United States.
For marketing we are focusing heavily on organized and driven social media campaigns to connect audiences with the people involved. Whether it be back stage photos, meet the cast and crew segments, or snippets taken from personal snapchat stories and instagram accounts, we plan to engage our audiences and encourage interaction between our social media platforms and the viewer.
In addition to social media marketing techniques, we will also be utilizing classic print marketing. We will be covering the streets of Philadelphia and nearby urban areas with posters and stickers promoting the series prior to it's launch. We will also be printing postcards with our logo, social media info, and project description for members of our cast and crew to distribute to local businesses and their personal connections.
With these methods in place, we hope to gain a steady audience that feels personally connected to the success of the project and those pouring their work into it.
We have looked into several festivals for which Unfiltered would qualify for submission. These include: DC Webfest, NYC Webfest, Hollyweb Festival and ITVFest. It is important to us as a team to be planning for the future of this production and keep long term goals in mind while we shoot.
