This is a project for a live-action action parody film, titled Ur Mom. It takes inspiration from films such as Space Balls, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Hot Shots! It is a parody of films such as Goldfinger, Kingsman: Secret Service, and Mission; Impossible with a goal to create a story with a silly life-risking mission.
Bruce Cash, a retired captain, is attempting to live his life as ordinary as possible, working a 9-5 job and spending long nights watching television. As news coverage of a dark force expands, he receives the unthinkable call. "Ur Mom has been taken captive." Being the only one able to save her, he embarks on a mission to bring her back!
Ur Mom is being created by a team of high school students, led by director, Chris Miller, and producer, Noah Santana.
Chris Miller:
Chris is a young filmmaker, creating sketches and short films, with hopes to eventually be a full-time filmmaker. He wishes to create Ur Mom to boost his knowledge of writing, editing, directing, and filming.
Noah Santana:
Noah is a young person who, besides being passionate about coding/programming, loves doing theatre and helping with films! He is completely onboard with the project and will help in any way, shape, or form to make this film come to life! With his knowledge by being in multiple plays/shows throughout Middle school and High school as both cast and crew, he hopes to use this to his advantage in making this film possible!
As the creators of this film, we are currently in need of some equipment to ensure filming for this project goes according to plan. We are working with little to no budget, and most funds come out of our teams' own pockets. Our goal is to raise at least $600 to afford equipment such as:
We are planning to release the film in the summer of 2023. With just exiting the pre-production phases, we are hoping to begin filming in September of 2022. However, due to the size of our crew and everyone's soon to be busy schedules, it is possible that certain aspects of our timeline could be delayed. With this mind, we ask that any supporters of the project be patient and respectful.
This film is just nearing the end of pre-production and will be needing support for the production/filming portion. The budget for the project is currently based on the money our crew is able to find in their own wallets. The timeline is also based around the availability of all cast and crew members, all of which are enrolled students with their own schedules. We will be working to the best of our ability to ensure that we are able to complete everything within a timely manner, but do expect for there to be some delays.
