Introducing URI
The URI light collection are a series of unique LED bulbs with simple, soft and minimalist lines that create remarkable lighting effects. The word, “URI” refers to God’s light in Greek. Inspired by the spectacular of space and the beauty of planets, we want to bring the lighting source to a different level.
LED light bulb is no longer old fashion. It can have a fashionable, glamorous outlook with its practical function, long life spanning and energy saving.These are quality products that we are proud of and will stand the test of time, and best fit with your home, office, restaurants or any interior projects.

Our Design
URI led light bulb is made of acrylic glass sheets and led screw base. The light source is reflected from the bottom to the transparent acrylic glass and forming a remarkable lighting effect. We make good use of led technology, laser cut machining and traditional mortise and tenon skills to create our URI led bulb.

Our Process
Each bulb consists of 6 pieces of acrylic glass pieces and we have to assembly them all together. It is just like playing a 3D puzzle. Thus, we have to do the math correctly to make sure all the little pieces could fit with each other. We have tried several thickness of acrylic glass sheet on prototypes.
Production started with a series of hand-drawn sketches. After the Ai drawing is done, it is loaded into a laser cutting machine and the part is cut from the acrylic glass sheet. The edges of the piece are then grinded and smoothed by hand. Afterwards, we brings the acrylic glass pieces back to our office and assembled by hand with care.

We have spent 8 months to study the shape and form of each light bulb style, testing materials, developing 3D models, and sourcing the led base and laser cut workshops in local business. After tesing several laser cut workshops, we chose the ones with bigger machine and provision of acrylic glass sheet. Its long opening hours is very suitable for handling large production. For LED screw base, we selected Hong Kong based company, which has factory in Shenzhen. It has rich experience on led screw base production with CE safety certificate for worldwide export. We have tested their led parts and the light distribution was effective with no heat. We're happy to support and work closely with local business for sustainable production.

How the funds be used?
The funds will be used towards lamp production. Any additional funds will be used to develop more shapes of the URI bulbs. As we have already built a working prototype and have finished testing , thus the production and fulfilment stages of the project will move quite quickly. Your backing will be used to fund:
- LED screw bases
- Acrylic Glass sheets
- Laser cutting services, and assembly process
- Pendants assembly
- Packaging design and production
- Delivering cost
- Certifications required to offer internationally, UL / CE. etc.
We take pride in keeping our backers informed, and will regularly post updates on our development progress.
Delivery
Once our campaign goal has been reached, we will immediately place the materials and process production. Our goal is to begin delivery in December 2016. The URI bulbs will manufacture in Hong Kong and ship directly to worldwide. We will ship through Hong Kong Post, a reliable courier in our local city. Once the order arrive on backer’s local country, it will be transmitted to their local courier. Backers can trace their order through Hong Kong Post’s online system (http://www.hongkongpost.hk/en/home/index.html).

NAP is a Hong Kong based design firm, founded in 2013 by Yat Ming and Stephanie. We have been doing lighting retail for 3 years, running an online shop and offering custom made service. We have worked with many residential, restaurants, office and boutique hotel![]()
projects in USA, UK, Europe and Indonesia. In 2016, we start to focus on product design and finally launch our own designed light bulb, URI lamp collection.

About Our Designer
Our designer, Yat Ming believes that a great sustainable design makes a better life for us. He loves hand making furniture and trying different materials since he was 16. He studied local industrial school and learnt crafting skills and product designs. Also, he had worked on advertising and design industry for 10 years with rich experience on graphic design, product design, events and exhibition design. Ming is very proud of his URI collection and best represents our creativity.

Risks and challenges
We can’t foresee too many risks in the creation of URI led light bulbs. We have been testing the bulbs for 8 months and the technical problem has been solved. Besides, full collection of prototypes are on our hands. We have found reliable suppliers based in local city and they can handle large quantities production. We are confident that this project will be going very smoothly and deliver a great quality products to all the backers.
The main challenge this project will be faced with is hitting our deadline. We will keep our backers informed by publishing regular updates about our project. if you have any questions, feel free to ask and we’ll make sure we respond.

F&Q
1.) Will URI light bulb work in my light fitting?
The URI led bulb works in all standard light fittings. It is in E27 screw base and is applicable on 110V or 220V.
You can measure the width of your bulb holder. If it’s diameter is between 26mm to 27mm, then the URI bulb works well with your lamp fitting.
2.) How do I select my URI led bulb style and set?
we will send you a survey where you can select bulb style and set
3.) Is the voltage compatible with US, UK or Europe current?
Yes, it is fully compatible. Both of the bulb and the pendant set provide 110v-220v. It is workable in worldwide.
4.) Will you provide plug?
If you choose our desk base set, a plug will be included.
If you choose our pendant there is option of ceiling rose or electrical plug. Once we reach our goal and the campaign ends, we will send you a survey where you can select any of them
