About the artist and project
Velleitie is a solo ambient project over two years in the making by Cleveland resident Sean Kase. Many earlier recordings leaned towards a darker ambient sound, combining guitar swells, electric cello, and MIDI instruments to create relatively short productions. After a year of experimentation, the Eye Level With the Gleam EP was released with a shift in the original sound of the project to a more blissful and optimistic theme. Unblurred Variants was recorded in the fall of 2015 as a further extension of this, all the while maintaining the original melancholic attributes that defined Velleitie from the onset.
Being able to press the album onto a physical medium is considered a celebratory notion of discovering this new sound. Unblurred Variants is about 45 minutes of material that will be produced on vinyl in 100 copies and otherwise distributed digitally.
What we need
This is a self-release and is otherwise dependent on the artist's finances in order to put into production. Your donation helps front the cost. Funds are also needed to pay the very talented designers that are responsible for the album artwork and button designs as outlined in the perks. A brief rundown of the artist's costs:
- $800 upfront cost to produce the album on vinyl
- $56.00 to produce 10 copies of the album on transparent vinyl
- $53.50 to produce 5 copies of the album on white vinyl
- Shipping charges (may vary)
- Paying the designers a decent wage--the more contributions, the more they can get

Challenges & other items of note
The release date is tentative but absolutely slated for the fall of 2016. A test pressing should be available to the artist by August.
