Short Summary
Hello from Santa Barbara!
"Virtually You" is our 15 minute short film that will be completed by December of 2017. This opportunity, Capstone, was created two years ago by the SBCC film department in order to create a stepping stone between our student world to a professional set. We will use this project for personal resumes that will lead to first jobs. We will submit "Virtually You" at film festivals to represent this special film program we love! Most importantly, we will be continuing to delve deeper into our film education and further our production knowledge rather than sleeping and having a social life.
Capstone is professional level filmmaking experience at the #1 community college of the nation. We are excited, passionate, and maybe even a little intimidated to create "Virtually You". This is a team that's been working together for the past two years and have overcome countless challenges and obstacles in our education and creations together! We are excited and already hard at work on this next, new project.

What We Need & What You Get
Big Picture: we need $1,500 in order to break the barrier between student and professional. This is the bottom level of budget with one festival submission, however we would love to gain a higher budget of $3000. That would allow for more distribution to as many film festivals as possible and to create a fully envisioned project without budget restrictions.

The Script
"Virtually You" is a short film that follows a young woman and her struggle of unreciprocated desire. It's a dramatic telling of passion and rejection and love with a major focus on how developing technologies affect love and human interactions. How do such strides in the digital realm, like augmented and virtual reality, change people's "actual" reality and their relationships in the real world?
