A young Muslim woman balances her duties as a wife and mother while searching for a voice of her own.

"Growing up where 50 percent of the population was Muslim, I had the privilege to experience just how dynamic and deeply nuanced Muslim women were on the other side of their veils, something which seemed to directly conflict with the stereotypes the world has tried to reduce them to." - Luwam
This film was written to shine a light on those layers and to capture the complexities of these often misunderstood and underestimated women. Just like your favorite teacher, your past lover, and your quiet next door neighbor, these women are intelligent, quirky, witty, gems whose stories and humanity deserve to be shared for the world, and whose voices deserve to be heard.

Making a film is all about collaboration.
Luwam has written a wonderful story, but without funding, it will be forced to remain on the page. To bring the world of VOICE to life we need a team of dedicated collaborators and the materials necessary to make it all happen, and that is where YOU come in!
Your contributions will secure us:
- a fantastic crew
- a talented cast
- all of the necessary production equipment
- catering (a well-fed crew is a happy crew)
- props and set decoration
- and last but not least, locations, locations, locations!
Everyone we work with has an important role in bringing everything together so that the end result is a film that looks beautiful and feels real, moving and powerful. By contributing, you too will become a part of that magical, collaborative process called film-making.
Here is how your donations will be allocated:

In the information age, a message is only as powerful as the audience it can reach. While every donation brings us closer to making this film a reality, we understand that not everyone will be able to leave a monetary contribution at this time. But don't worry, you can still be a significant part of helping us reach our goal by getting on social media and sharing this campaign with your friends and family, as well as encouraging others to do so as well. We want to show the world that the way someone dresses, or whatever their religious beliefs might be, does not make them anymore or less human than anyone else, and that just as much as anyone else, Muslim women have a story to tell. Help us spread the word and we will be forever grateful!
