Too Late for Halloween!
Pete Von Sholly has been holding out. It turns out this demented master of the macabre art of low-brow satire has dozens of Monster Laff Parade cartoons that poke fun at our favorite undead, freakish, ghostly, and creepy monsters, vampires, ghosts, and more. Pete and I figured the best way to celebrate Halloween and get these into the hands of our favorite ghouls was as a pack of 18 trading cards. After enough of you suckers--er, patrons, that is--pitch in, that number could multiply like a Gremlin under a watering can.

Then, we realized Halloween was as close as the hot breath of a pursuing werewolf on the back of our collective neck.
So, if we fund, you'll still get the Monster Laff Parade set--they're just going to be fashionably late. Like November. Maybe even December.
They come with horrific humor on the back of each card, with a gag cartoon on the front.

But that's okay, because monsters (or jokes) are relevant any time of the year, and these may prove the perfect present for dysfunctional family holidays.
Oh, and all of these cards are intended as works of satire--as if you hadn't figured that out yet.
The Impact
Right now, the world needs to see monsters put in uncomfortable and awkward situations, to be the butt of puns and dad jokes--all lavishly illustrated by master of horror art and lovable weirdo supreme Pete Von Sholly.
You know Pete's work: he's worked as a storyboard artist on movies that include Darkman, The Shawshank Redemption, The Mist, and on monster movies featuring monsters Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhies, Pumpkinhead, and Chucky. He's illustrated stories from H.P. Lovecraft to Stephen King. Horror is in his DNA--along with a strain of satire and gag humor.
Monster Laff Parade is Pete's first foray into trading cards and, if successful, will lead him to come up with more quirky, unique, and crazy humor sets.

As for me, I've run about two dozen crowdfunding campaigns, mostly trading cards, and have boiled everything from soup to nuts down to a science.
Risks & Challenges
The biggest risk we face is having our cards misprint or get hijacked en route by zombies. Since I've been using the same reliable printer for a few years now, and since all the production art is complete, I'm not the least bit worried.
However, if anything rears its ugly head, I'll be sure to let you know ASAP. Since this will follow my usual production/crowdfunding schedule, I anticipate having them to you about a month after funds appear.
You know what would also be awesome? Even if you can't pitch in, you can help spread the word through Indie GoGo's sharing tool. Or by carrier bat. Or by sending a message to the afterlife.
