Synopsis
From the age of innocence to the age of consent, every little girl knows you’re only as good as your last boob job. This is Hollywood, baby, and Jack the Ripper is nothing but a surgeon with a butter knife, and death is a casting call for the role of… MOM.
Horror director Vito’s film set flies into a panic when talks about career killers turn into talks about a serial killer with a vengeance for birthdays. Near-sighted and narrow-minded, five aging scream queens may have a chance to escape, if they can only see past their vanities.
“Watch the Pretty Girls Suffer” will keep you on the edge of your cock with blood, gore and tears! This birthday will bash your head in with its murderous wit, sexual innuendos and its graphic kills!
“Watch the Pretty Girls Suffer” is the third Horror collaboration from Vito Trabucco and Deborah Venegas (“Bloody Bloody Bible Camp,” “Never Open The Door”). Their work has garnered a strong following in the Horror film and television community. “Watch the Pretty Girls Suffer” will be presented as a 15-chapter Web series that will shoot in the Fall of 2015 and debut in 2016.
But in order to make the Horror series that Trabucco & Venegas have created, we need your help. Here is where you come in.
What We Need & What You Get
We need you... that's right YOU.
We need your help to reach our modest goal of $35,000 in order to produce the kind of content that we want to make and that you deserve. Your contributions will go toward equipment, locations, feeding our cast & crew and toward securing top-notch Horror talent that will make you scream with delight.
Risks & Challenges
A happy crew or a hungry crew... you decide. Now there's a risk for you!
Creatively, our team is ready to tackle one of our biggest challenges: to produce a new and original entry in the realm of Horror that draws inspiration from the classics while tapping into Horror's recent spike in mainstream appeal ("American Horror Story," "The Walking Dead"). "Watch the Pretty Girls Suffer" will take the modern Horror/Slasher flick model and flip it on its severed ear. Think "Dexter" meets "Clueless"
By far the biggest challenge we're facing is working with a relatively small budget. Our team has all agreed that 100% of the money raised through this IndieGoGo campaign should go toward the production of these Web-isodes. Our strategy is to limit ourselves to an austere budget and aim for a fundraising goal that is both realistic and attainable. We believe this will afford us the most creative control over exactly what we want the project to look, sound and feel like.
