Nana helped bring the organization A Better Chance, to an area in CT.  This organization is devoted to providing educational opportunities to young kids who come from underprivileged areas.  I worked at ABC in Amherst, where I tutored the middle school and high school boys after school.  While I tried to teach them as much as possible, I definitely look back on the experience knowing that I learned more from them.  These kids are bright, hard working and do not take this amazing opportunity for granted.  I think that Nana would love that as our tribute to her, we are giving back to an organization that she believed in.  Nana was a grandmother to all of us, always supporting everyone on Allie's teams, much like the rest of the Horwitz family.  I think it is only right to honor her memory by supporting Nana and giving towards her dreams!  Allie comes back to the States next Wednesday, December 11th, with the celebration of Nana's life soon thereafter.  I would REALLY appreciate having this donation together by then so that we can present it to the family.
