The project team has begun turning their prototype into the final product. Their ability to ship the products may be affected by product development or financial challenges.
Welle is an innovative device that turns any surface into a smart interface using embedded Sonar and lets you control your favorite devices and software applications with simple touch and gesture via Bluetooth.
Welle works in the home, office or anywhere. Simply place Welle in a convenient location and use hand gestures to control all your smart devices such as: lights, TVs, speakers, doors, thermostats, cameras, curtains, fans, and more.
Digital Trends - "It feels a bit like using the Force to turn your stuff on and off, which is pretty cool by itself."
The Culture Trip - "Imagine being able to turn off the lights with a simple gesture on your bed-side table, or turn on the TV from the bathroom."
Geeky Gadgets - "Nowadays, the interaction with functions/devices is limited to the screens. With Welle, we are going to upgrade it and bring you the newest yet the most nature interaction experience."

Introducing Welle
"World's first sonar based gesture control gadget that can make any surface interactive."
Welle is a smart device that instantly turns any surface into a smart controller using embedded Sonar and a highly sensitive gesture algorithm. It gives you the ability to use simple gestures or shortcuts to control your favorite functions or connected devices.
Make Control Simpler
As the technology develops, we are currently facing two fundamental problems:
Limited interactive surface
Limited input richness
Welle is intend to solve these by expanding input area while increasing input modalities.
Change color with one swipe
Turn off TV without looking for remote
Built for work, play and in between
Endless Possibilities
Welcome to the modern world of intelligent device control. Welle works in the home, office or anywhere with a Bluetooth connection. Welle uses the most advanced gesture control for your household smart appliances that replaces traditional remote controls for a convenient and enjoyable connected home or office experience. Simply place Welle in a convenient location and use hand gestures to control all your smart devices such as: lights, TVs, speakers, doors, thermostats, cameras, curtains, fans, and more.
How to Setup
It’s easy to control devices via Welle. Just set up the gestures in any form, touch, swipe, word, number or anything else. Then draw up the gestures anywhere closed to Welle to control the devices. It looks like you are in a augmented reality. Magic!
Welle is easy-to-setup in just a few minutes.

Technology Behind The Magic
Welle uses refined Sonar technology to instantly turn any surface into a smart controller. Sonar is widely used the fields of military, automotive and drones. Sonar transmits signal pulses and collects the reflected energy back from targets. The characteristics of the echoes are extracted and then translated into different instructions to Internet of Things devices using an advanced hardware design and software algorithms.
Why ultrasound technology stands out?
The ultrasound technology that Welle is using, enables farther detection range, higher tolerance to light condition and lower power consumption.
Ultrasound stands out with meter-level detection range, compared to Infrared and capacity with merely centimeter-level detection range.
Ultrasound does not malfunction under dim or no-light condition, while Infrared cannot detect gestures under dim light condition or with black color surface. Optic sensors have very low accuracy under undesired light condition as well.
Ultrasound consumes only mili-watt power and last hours longer than other technology, under the same battery size.
Welle uses this same technology to collect and interpret complex information to identify motions and gestures from the echoed signals. Welle tracks your fingers when you touch a surface and it can even recognize handwriting motions and transform them to customized actions with a high degree of accuracy.

Patent-Pending Technology
Conventional gesture detectors, such as those in smartphones only provide single gesture readings. Welle, in contrast, can provide rich information, such as trajectory data, digitized gestures and even handwriting recognition, enabling a wide variety of control functions for everyday convenience.
People Say Wow
Our goal was to create convenient control for people at home and at work. We created technology that adds pleasure to life. The feedback has been amazing. The first reaction that people have is “Wow!” then they ask how they can get a Welle for themselves and their friends. We love that!
