Wepo is incorporated with powerful technologies into something very small enough to wear and to create entirely new experience on how we look and feel about at the air quality around us. The first generation of Wepo is packed with Carbon Monoxide sensors. Successive variants of Wepo with Nitrogen Dioxide sensors, Particulate Matter sensors and much more pollutants will be made available soon.
Wepo is packed with one of the most accurate miniature carbon monoxide sensor in such a small footprint .The Electrochemical Carbon Monoxide sensor in Wepo is tested rigorously for its accuracy .

Wepo app is available for iOS, Android ( 4.3 and above ) and Tizen devices (Galaxy Gear S Smartwatch). Android wear smart watch platform is also supported. The mobile app allows you to track air quality, and over time, helps you see trends in the way environment changes, allowing you to make smart decisions.

We have been working on Wepo for the past one year and have successfully developed a working prototype and functional app. Wepo has undergone several successful rounds of prototyping, testing and validation. We are now designing and fabricating a larger lot of systems in support of an alpha test program.
We are currently focusing on:
- Finalizing engineering design & schematics for production
- Fine tuning iOS,Android and Tizen smart watch app to ensure it works flawlessly
- Developing sophisticated analytics and data visualization in the app

1. How it is weared?
Wepo comes with an accessory clip which you can clip on your belt . Wepo can also be weared as a pendant .

2. Do I need to have a smart watch for working of Wepo?
For Better User experience of Wepo we highly recommend Smart Watch
You can get the data on your Android phone or iphone using the respective Wepo app. We have developed an app for the android wear and tested it on galaxy gear live and Tizen based Galaxy Gear S Smart watch.
3. Does it supports apple watch?
We will be working with Apple Watch to deliver an even better user experience ( as soon as we get our hands on one of them ).
4. How long the battery last?
As per our test results, the 2000 mAh battery lasts for 20 hours of continuous usage.
5. Is Wepo waterproof?
Not yet, we are working on the design to make it water proof.
6. Why Wepo measures only Carbon Monoxide?
Wepo is a platform that we are building. Our first iteration is with the Carbon Monoxide sensor as prolonged exposure to Carbon Monoxide is harmful when breathed because it displaces oxygen in blood and deprives the heart, brain and other organs of oxygen which ultimately reduces your life span.
In our next iterations we plan to come up with Nitrogen Dioxide, Particulate matter and Ozone sensors, etc.
Carbon monoxide (CO) gas forms primarily when carbon fuels
are not burned completely. Mobile sources account for the majority of CO
emissions These sources include both on-road vehicles (e.g., cars, trucks,
motorcycles) and nonroad vehicles and engines (e.g., farm equipment,
construction equipment, aircraft, marine vessels). Consequently, high
concentrations of CO generally occur in areas with heavy traffic congestion. In
cities, as much as 95 percent of all CO emissions may come from automobile
exhaust). Other sources of CO emissions include industrial processes,
non-transportation fuel combustion, and natural sources, such as wildfires.(Source : US EPA )

9. What kind of tests are performed on Wepo's sensors?
Every Carbon Monoxide sensor used in Wepo is tested for its accuracy by calibrating it with known Carbon Monoxide standard cylinders.

We have been working for more than one year developing Wepo and getting it ready for production. We know what the next steps are for manufacturing and have great partners ready to start. However, we know that before mass production begins, we may encounter some problems. We have plans to mitigate all the risks.
Manufacturing: We need to create tooling to manufacture different parts of the product. This process is complex and requires time and money. Complications could potentially emerge and delay the manufacturing schedule. To tackle the risk, we've selected partners who can work closely with us through the whole manufacturing process.
Software: The software and app are functional, Software development sometimes gets tricky and takes longer than expected, but we have a lot of experience in this area and if necessary will look for additional help to solve any problems that could emerge.
We have the team to overcome all challenges, as we've done so far. Our goal is to make the best possible product for you and deliver it right on time. We will be distributing regular updates to all of our backers outlining progress, as well as the introduction of any roadblocks that could impact our planned production timeline.
