An new weird-fiction/mystery short film by Tyler Walker and the American Standard Film co.

We're a group of recent NYU grads with a yarn only we can spin: The story of a down 'n' out guy searching for his missing friend in the weird gutters of an alternate universe's New York. A search for love, for meaning, and another drink.

Where's my Money Gonna Go?

A trip to Cancun! We need the basics!

  • Great lenses to get great images
  • Equipment to hold up the lights so we can see the actors,
  • Costumes so everybody looks like they belong in a movie
  • Special Effects make-up to give our actors "the Blank"
  • The Conqueror Worm to build and puppeteer so it can sail over West Brooklyn
  • The Utopian Space Station (only the basics)
  • Most importantly - Food and Water to keep our crew alive!

Where's the Film Gonna Go?!

We've taken our films all over the world and we plan to do the same with "What A Wonderful World It Will Be". Our previous film projects have won prizes at the US in Progress festival in Poland and the FirstRun Awards in New York City. We've screened at the Austin Film Festival in Texas, the Oaxaca film festival in Mexico, HollyShorts in California, Raindance in London, and others. We've made music videos for acts such as Basement Jaxx and Classixx, we're used to working with budgets, getting films done, and getting them out in the world for audiences to see.

It's an Ambitious Project - Don't you mean $12,500?

We're creating a huge, uncanny world on a shoestring budget in one of the toughest cities to make movies. So if we get more money than we're asking for, we'll know where to spend it! But we've done low-budget movies before and we love the challenge. "What a Wonderful World It Will Be" is a small passion project and a lot of our key crew of professionals have agreed to help out. We're borrowing equipment, shooting with natural light, and letting New York be our set-decorator. We're used to carrying equipment in and out of subways, up and down fourth-story walk-ups, and through the streets during snowstorms. We're used to the all-nighters and hard work of New York filmmaking, and we're all committed to creating a dark, moody vision of the city you haven't seen before.

If you have any doubts about the budget, give more! check out our website and see some of the other shoe string budget films we've made - such as Harry and Judy and A Late Man.

If You Don't Have Cash, Go to a Pawn Shop!

Just kidding, neither does our protagonist. But if you live in or around New York City, there's so many things you can help us out with - driving, cool locations and apartments to shoot in, props, meal donations, or just swinging by to say hey, etc.

If you're not on this small part of the country, spread the word about this (and our other) movies. Like our facebook page! Share our website online! Spread the word around!
