Photography is a powerful storytelling tool, wielding the ability to burn images into our minds with a single glance. I believe this unique medium is too often used to support a narrative of an evil world, and that people are largely more friendly, loving, and hospitable than we are generally led to believe.
My name is Ross Gordon. I am a professional photographer from Louisville, KY and I intend to ride my motorcycle around the world, creating a photographic body of work that will capture love and humanity rather than the cynicism and gore we are fed daily. Since 1996, I have traveled across the United States and to more than fifty countries photographing the people I meet and their vanishing or changing cultures. I’ve recently felt compelled, though—particularly in light of increasing global as well as local tensions—to capture moments of warmth and caring between people, rather than images of violence and unrest. I plan to travel through more than 60 countries on five continents photographing the colorful, cultural and ceremonial aspects of love, and the many ways kindness is expressed around our world. I will photograph people helping each other, kissing in parks, holding hands and the many way's different cultures embrace these things. My main emphasis will be on photographing weddings around the world, from the United States to Southeast Asia, India, the middle east, Africa and South America I aim to photograph the human celebration of love focusing on our differences as well as our similarities. It is my hope that this body of work will help change political and social dialogues, and remind my viewers about the beauty of humanity and that people the world over have a great deal in common.

Donate any amount on this website and I assure you that your investment in this project, no matter how large or small, will make you a part of something really cool.
Wheel love is the culmination of many years of my photographic endeavors. There are many risks and challenges to my adventure. First, I am leaving my family my friends and any financial security I have here at home. Second, riding a motorcycle comes with its own and obvious set of risks. From Break downs in the middle of nowhere to the possibility of a serious accident. These are risks I am willing to take. I know motorcycles can be dangerous however, I will minimize the risks as much as possible by wearing the proper gear and relying on my riding skills from years of adventure motorcycle touring. Last even though this adventure is about kindness and love there are no assurances that I won't run into problems with other people. I will be traveling through more than sixty countries not all of which are at peace. I will be ready to meet those challenges if they arise. Please help support and join me on the adventure of a lifetime.
I greatly appreciate your support. Ross
