The Story
This campaign will bring issue 3 of our 5 issue series to print, just as prior campaigns successfully did for Issues 1 and 2.
Death took our penciler, Lovalle Davis, in April of last year. Here is the team that brought you issue 3:
Preston Poulter (Writer / Creator): Preston Poulter (Writer / Creator): This is my passion project. As I search for meaning and purpose in my own life, I often reflect on what it must have been like to serve one horrible regime in order to fight another. The story of Lilya Litvyak speaks to me, and this project allows me to share her story with others.
Jake Bilbao (Penciler) is a freelance Comic book Artist that has worked on titles like Bloodrayne, Pathfinder, Wolverine.
Diana Greenhalgh (Editor / Inker): Living in Vancouver, Diana has done work for IDW, Marvel, and Upper Deck.
Blond the Colorist: Industry veteran colorist from series such as Superman, Green Lanterns, and Red Hood & The Outlaws.
Issue 3 finds our two main characters, Katya and Lilya, fighting for their lives over the skies of Stalingrad against an enemy that is better equipped, better trained, and more experienced.

Why this project?
I have always had a strange fascination with self-destructive genius. Those people who have amazing ability to create and influence, but can't seem to find any compelling reason for their own existence.
n fiction, we cloak these figures in noble ambitions towards unrealistic ideals and often give them superhuman powers to defy the odds. Inevitably, these stories become a quest for redemption measured in the number of times the day got saved. But what if it was your self-destructive nature itself that was your superpower?
This story finds Lydia Litvyak, the White Lily of Stalingrad, falling further and further into the grip of her own death wish. And yet, it is that disregard for her own safety that makes her such a fearsome opponent.
It is in her story that I have found the quintessential tortured genius.

Who will like this comic?
Obviously if you enjoy war comics, particularly ones set on the Eastern Front like Sara, then this book will appeal to you.
If you want to see strong female characters fighting to prove their worth in a male dominated society, you will love this story.
If you struggle with a sense of purpose and wonder what any of it means, that is the central question I tackle here. Lilya holds a dark wish to die a war hero, and those who love her try to get her to find the value of her own life. Her rage and self-destructive tendencies cause her to take terrible risks that make her a feared opponent in air-to-air combat.

Risks and challenges
The comic has already been completed. I printed an advance copy of Phoenix Fan Fusion and just finished a campaign on Kickstarter to bring it to print. This campaign is for those who missed the Kickstarter or simply prefer to use another platform. There are no risks to fulfillment.
