50 years from now, in the United States of America, an absolute
government has banned religious texts as offensive, unnecessary, and
ILLEGAL. Anyone who is caught owning, or worse, distributing, is
considered a harmful revolutionary and taken off the streets.
Raymond Winkler, a small town repairman, has found himself alone at
this stage in life. He keeps himself busy restoring cars, tinkering with hardware, and lending a helping hand to his fellow townspeople.
When Raymond runs in to help a robbery in progress at
Trudy’s Diner, Trudy asks for help of a different kind. She has
collected Bibles (contraband), and believes Raymond is the chosen one to
distribute it. This would make Raymond an outlaw and the thought
of never seeing his daughter again isn’t very persuading...

Our leading lady Trudy, Purity Gikunju, and our main location, Trudy's Diner, are an actual ministry!
As a 501C3 non profit organization - Kijiji International, Growers Alliance Coffee is focused on improving the lifestyles of the coffee growers, and educating them on utilizing any available resources to be economically independent.
Some of the projects that Growers Alliance Fund has already started are:
Started a 16 station Dialysis Clinic in Naivasha, Kenya. Digging of clean water artesian wells (boreholes) in Gachuriri and Kiandegwa villages, Embu. Supporting Little Angels Childrens Home & Joy Rescue Center for HIV orphanages. Installation of electricity to a 300 members co-operative society - Gikumbo Farmers Coffee factory. Building and upgrading of school buildings and classrooms from mud and grass thatched classes to stone bricks - Kathunguri Primary School, Embu district. Buying schools uniforms and supplies for children in Kathunguri Primary School, Embu district. Education (workshops) and advice for growers in modern and sustainable farming methods to Gikumbo Coffee society members. Renovating the water tanks and coffee storage cellars in Gikumbo Coffee society. HIV/ AIDS awareness seminars and free check-up clinics to Kutus United Self Help Women Group. Seminars for empowering women on using the resources around them to become financially independent. Marketing products from Kutus United Self Help Women Group.
We hope by that partnering with Purity and her ministry, Grower's Alliance will gain more traffic and recognition. We hope that your donations to make WINDS the film a reality, will give film viewers the opportunity to learn and be a part of the amazing work that God is doing in Africa!
Thought provoking, engaging, faith based cinema:
- Don and Rose Miller have enjoyed working in the visual media arts field for over 14 years and after obeying a calling in their lives, have worked in a Video and Photography ministry the past 5.
- The husband and wife duo of Don and Rose Miller at SBS Christian Media have been working on the film WINDS since 2015. It is a film they are greatly passionate about and are excited by the call to produce it.
- During these troubled times, countless people are in search of answers to their questions. It is our belief that through the life changing truth of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, people will find a deeper purpose, a refuge from the storms of life, and a truly magnificent love worth sharing. WINDS the film embraces these truths and it is our hope to share these with the world in as entertaining and cinematic way as possible. We hope WINDS inspires many people to search deeper in the scriptures and Lord willing, seek first the kingdom of God.
- WINDS the film evokes a prophetic "sign of the times". Although we are free to worship God and read scripture in the USA, many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are not. Across the globe, Christians are still be persecuted for His sake. It is our hope that this film helps inspire others to evangelize, regardless of the obstacles!
