It was also our campaign here on Indiegogo that connected us to the fantastic producer Trish McCain who came in just at the right time as an associate producer bringing with her some much need funds!

In today's economic climate it is a huge task to raise the money necessary to make a film. Filmmaking is a hugely collaborative effort so we are so pleased that so many of you decided to join our team and continue on this wonderful journey with us.

TILLY WOOD | BARKING AT TREES

I knew that I wanted to steer clear of the gritty realism associated with British low budget drama and that I wanted WINTER to be a visually arresting and soulful film. So I worked closely with the DP Joel Devlin for some time before the shoot to get the look of the film right, and to make sure we had a definite plan of what we wanted. We had to be pretty realistic as we were shooting the whole film in twenty-four days on one handheld camera!

Music and sound design has always been as important to me as the visuals, so I naturally found myself writing scenes with specific styles of music in mind. My husband and summer from Reef, the composer Dominic Greensmith , worked closely with me on the score and every track in the film was chosen because I felt a bit of 'Woods' or 'Tom' somewhere in the music.

When I was introduced to sound designer Andre Jaquemin (The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus, Life Of Brian) I knew immediately that he would create something special: and he did; combining music and sound design seamlessly to mesmerizing effect.

We made the film in under twelve months -  with six children between Tilly and myself, this was a major exercise in multi-tasking.

Now we are focusing on getting the film out to the people who really matter - YOU!
