WISH - Feature Length Horror Film

HELLO! My name is Robert Massetti, I'm independent filmmaker located here in Sunny Florida! I've been making movies since I was in High School with a huge love for the Horror Genre. I'm also the founder and owner of FEAR FILM Studios and Founder/Executive Director of the FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival. So believe me when I say that I LOVE horror films!

 I've made No Budget Short films my entire career. Only because I never knew where or how to raise funds for a feature or how to find investors. So every film I've made has always been a compromise on my original vision. In other words, I've never been able to make the movie I wanted to make due to budget limitations. Now I'm asking you for your help so I can make my vision a reality without having to compromise.

I spent the last 2 years paying off all my credit cards and building my credit rating so I could buy professional movie making equipment to make my dream feature film. Now I have all the equipment I need, but now I'm back in dept. The good thing is that I have what I need to make a quality film. All I need now is funding for paying people, FX Makeup, Creature FX, and so on. The more money I can raise, the better the film I can make. I've invested a good $20,000 of my own money to purchase a pro camera, sound equipment, lights and so on. To say I'm invested in the project is an understatement. I going to make this film come hell or high water, but I can make a great movie with your help!

The Story

In the sunny, unsuspecting neighborhoods of Florida, struggling writer Emma’s life takes a chilling turn when she discovers her friends are making wishes to a sinister Djinn. At first, their dreams come true, but each wish carries a horrifying price. As her friends fall victim to gruesome deaths, Emma realizes the true cost of their desires.

Driven by fear and a desperate need to survive, Emma unravels the Djinn’s dark history and its malevolent rules. She must confront this ancient evil and find a way to break the deadly cycle before she becomes the next victim. “WISH” explores the terrifying consequences of taking shortcuts in life, blending supernatural horror with relentless suspense.

Prepare for a heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat thriller where every wish granted could be your last.

What We Need 

A big chunk of the budget will go to Makeup & Creature FX. To make a great horror film you need a great looking creature. We are so lucky that we found CHARLANN McKENNA of Scream Queen FX who did all the Special FX Makeup for the Short and now for the Feature!

Above is some concept art for the Jinn.

We need Special FX Makeup for the face and hands which takes hours to apply and is very costly to make, especially great makeup FX. This is why we need big enough budget to make this work. There's a lot of work that must go into the creature FX and we need enough money and time to make the Effects convincing.

As you can see in the above picture, Char is more than capable of making great Special FX Makeup. This is very important to the movie and to the story of the feature film version we are tryin to make. I would hate to compromise on the Makeup FX as it would diminish the impact of the film.

With this film, we are looking to make another iconic monster for horror fans to love and to give them chills. To create a Universe in the likes of the Conjuring Universe. 

The Music

We are humbled and excited to bring the iconic music composer HARRY MANFREDINI to the film! Harry is famous for composing the music and theme for the Original 1980 horror classic FRIDAY THE 13TH! Yes, the iconic theme that every horror fan is familiar with. Harry will bring his music brilliance to our film and take it to the next level! We can't begin to tell you how excited and inspired we are to have Harry on board the film!

Harry Manfredini Bio:
Harry has scored over one hundred films. His major feature credits include the highly successful FRIDAY THE 13TH series for Paramount Pictures, and now New Line Cinema. SWAMP THING for UA/Embassy, HOUSE, A breakaway hit for New World Pictures, and DEEP STAR SIX and ACES-IRON EAGLE III for Carolco Pictures. These films characterize his style as an action, suspense, and thriller composer but Harry's credits also include SPRING BREAK, a good-time rock and roll summertime success for Columbia Pictures and MY BOYFRIEND'S BACK, a teen comedy for Touchstone Pictures. Harry's dark, jazzy, dramatic scores have been heard in A GUN, A CAR, A BLOND, and HIDDEN AGENDA. Harry's score to WISHMASTER, helped make it the number one independent film of 1998, and he repeated in 1999 with his score to THE OMEGA CODE, the largest grossing independent for 1999. Robert Massetti is a passionate filmmaker, director, and horror enthusiast based in Orlando, Florida with over 25 years of filmmaking experience. Robert is also the Founder/Owner of FEAR FILM Studios, an award winning film production studio creating horror films, podcasts, music videos, and events.

With a deep love for all things horror, Robert has built a thriving career in the genre, channeling a unique blend of creativity and fear into each project. Robert is the mastermind behind the upcoming feature film WISH, a chilling exploration of the dark consequences of desire, and has also crafted several spine-tingling short films, including KILL DEVIL, THE DEAD UNDER MY BED, IT WAITS and CREEPY CRAWLY. Beyond filmmaking, Robert is the founder/executive director and driving force behind the FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival, one of Orlando's most beloved and enduring horror events. WISH will mark Robert's first attempt to make a full feature film.

Risks & Challenges

Like we said before, we are going to make this film no matter what happens. It's really up to you how good or great the film will be. If we can't raise enough money to pay people for their time, the film will take longer make. It could take almost a year or more to complete without the proper funds. Fully funded we can shoot the film in 3 to 4 weeks with two months of post production. We can make the film fairly fast since we own most of the equipment to make the film.

• Budget or No Budget, we will still make the film.
• With the proper funding we can make a great film.
• With proper funding we shoot the film with Hollywood grade Lenses.
• Fully funded we get a Kick Ass Creature for the movie.
• Fully funded we can do the many Visual FX for the film.
• Major Distribution for the film is our Goal, but only what's best for the film.
