About The Salvatones
![]()
New York based professional vocal ensemble The Salvatones consists of passionate, committed singers led by artistic director Daniel Brondel, who holds the post of Associate Director of Music at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Since 2010, their impressive vocal artistry has been dazzling and delighting audiences in concert as well as in private and public events. The Salvatones envision a world where vocal music becomes vital and believe in fostering greater appreciation by cultivating new audiences through high quality performances, inventive educational programs, creative partnership, and social and digital media engagement. This year, we were granted 501(c)(3) non-profit status, which has greatly increased our ability to be a leading presence in vocal music, both in concert and through digital social media. Our concert in November at Our Lady of Refuge church in Brooklyn, NY drew a sizable audience, and our increased social media presence has doubled the size of our digital audience reach and brought us more performance opportunities. Our holiday concerts this December, "Many Sounds of Christmas," (Many Sounds of Christmas) bring together The Salvatones with organist Stephen Fraser and the New York Virtuosi ensemble for two days of music at the historic Saint Peter's church on Barclay Street in Lower Manhattan, NYC.
What We Need & What You Get
In 2012, we began work on our debut album, "Wonderful World," compiled from many of our signature pieces and favorites from both member and audience. The eclectic repertoire represents jazz, pop, world music, spirituals and vocal standards and the entire album is a cappella. Every song on the album was arranged by a living composer/arranger. Our artistic director, Daniel Brondel, arranged the two New York-themed songs and our title track was arranged by Nilo Acala whose work was introduced to us from one of our singing members. The lion's share of the repertoire, however, was arranged by Roger Wesby, Director of Choral Activities at Wagner College, where founder Salvatore Diana met and worked with Roger during his own musical studies and was introduced to his arrangements.
We have been able to meet all costs to date due to board member donations, but we need to raise the final $2,500 to finish and distribute our album. Here is our budget breakdown:
- Singers: $3,000
- Studio: $2,000
- Recording: Donated via silent auction
- Editing and Mastering: $2,000
- Production, Distribution, and Marketing: $2,500
Check out our perks you will get for helping out our campaign.
The Impact
If you support our endeavor to finish and distribute "Wonderful World," you will be helping to realize a dream for our founders and board members. You will be helping The Salvatones achieve their vision of a world where vocal music and choral music is vital. We truly believe in the healing powers of music, how it can transform lives, and that music is a vessel for the voice of the soul.
