The Broadcast t-shirt is a revolutionary digital t-shirt that allows you to customize your slogan and image as often as you like. It’s the first wearable, commercially available, a programmable digital t-shirt designed for you to break the boundaries of your digital creativity. 

The Broadcast t-shirt consists of tiny LED's that connect with the accompanying app to give you complete control over what you wish to say. The only limit is your own imagination. Here's how it works.

The t-shirts used in the product shots and video are prototypes. Our production versions will be more polished and finished to our exact high standards.

We will contact all contributors after the campaign to ask for your preference in colour, style and size.

Who are we? We, at Broadcast, are a bunch of technology enthusiasts who love trying out new things. As engineers, we strive to come up with new ways to make people’s lives better, to integrate technology into everyday things. And that is why we created the Broadcast t-shirt - it creates a new paradigm in the world of technology and fashion. 

We realized that, while wearables are ruling the market, not much has been done to integrate technology with apparel. But getting everything together was not easy. It was important for us to find people who were equally passionate about technology. Broadcast Wear is led by Ayyappa Nagubandi, a serial entrepreneur and a technology buff who has worked with the likes of World Bank.

We all wear clothes. We wear them all day, every day. Our clothes change according to the occasion – office demands a formal attire, a discotheque demands a snazzy outfit, and a casual coffee or date demands just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. 

All the clothes we wear look the same – from the time we buy them to the time we throw them out. What if you had a t-shirt that could change according to what’s on your mind?

Broadcast is a t-shirt that changes slogans according to what’s on your mind! All you have to do in type in your slogan (or design) in the accompanying app, and watch it reflect on the t-shirt.

We want to offer you a blank canvas so that you can speak your mind in a totally new way.

The t-shirt is ready. We want your support to be able to go to production and make this dream a reality. With your support and backing on this campaign, we plan to manufacture Broadcast t-shirts on a large scale. This means, it will reduce the cost of production, and will also reduce the cost of the t-shirt. You have the power to make this possible; to bring technology to every household. Every backer is special, and every supporter counts.

We have a manufacturing partner, and we are quite ahead with the app. We also know that creating groundbreaking products can be affected by unforeseen delays at any point in time. And so, after considering all possible external factors and taking into account the advice given by experienced innovators, we have come up with a quite a conservative delivery date. Our goal is to deliver Broadcast t-shirt well within the delivery date, but we will keep you updated should any circumstances beyond our control come up. 

Creating Broadcast t-shirt has been one ginormous challenge, and we are excited to see Broadcast t-shirt happen. That is why, in order to ensure Broadcast t-shirt reaches you on time, we will have stationed a team with our manufacturing partners. 

Broadcast's app is at a stage where we can share it with a Beta testing group, who will use the app, connect it with the t-shirt in real time via online streaming, and provide us with their feedback. Our competent app development team, which works in-house, is constantly looking for ways to make the app work better with the t-shirt till the time comes for shipping. This means you will have a t-shirt that is more refined and that works in the best possible way!

Can you wash the t-shirt in a washing machine?

The t-shirt cannot be washed in a washing machine. It has to be hand washed or sent for dry cleaning. With each t-shirt, we will send instructions on how to wash and dry your garment.

Is it possible to create animations?

It is possible to create the animations. You will have to login to the website to create the animations and send it to your phone. Alternatively, you can view the various animations shared within the community and save the one you like on your phone. 

How long is the battery life?

The battery life is 4 hours. It will be a rechargeable battery and you can charge the same using a USB cable that we will give along with the t-shirt.

Can you tell me a little more about the double-panel shirt? How does that work with the app?

When will the t-shirts be shipped?

We're expecting to ship to our backers at the beginning of November 2016. If there are any changes we will keep you updated.

I made a mistake in my shipping address. How can I fix it?

Go to "My contributions" then click on "View Order Details" and then you can choose "UPDATE ADDRESS".
