Qube finds that smart home products are too expensive now. Our team put together Qube to be an affordable platform for both end-users and developers to start their first smart home journey.
Qube smart home products have been designed and prototyped in Singapore, China and in San Francisco. We have already very strong and established manufacturing partners based in Singapore & Shenzhen. We are very excited to have created our own version of Qube Light Strips.
While completing our first batch of 500 units of 1st batch manufacturing, we are ready to move into mass production. This project aims to collate enough orders to lower our cost enough to make the light strips affordable for the mass market launch. Similar to Qube Smart Bulb, we target to launch our light strip and making them affordable for everyone and we need your help.

Mass Manufacturing
The 1st manufacturing batch of 500 LED Strip Sets are done and we are currently running the LED ageing test. We are in the midst of placing our 2nd/3rd mass manufacturing order of 5,000 units and 10,000 units respectively once it reaches the order milestone.

Where do we ship?
Qube will be shipped worldwide as long as United States Postal Service (USPS), HongKong Post and Singapore Post supports delivery to that location.
When we start shipping*
We estimated to start and complete shipping of Qube Light Strips by March 2016, based on a first ordered, first received basis. We will keep you notified of your shipping date upon your order.
For customers that have special preferred shipping courier company, please contact us and pay the difference for the faster delivery lead time.

The Tech - How does it work?
Every Qube Light Strip adapter has an inbuilt Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Smart 4.0 Chip – making it constantly connected. We built a software layer that allows all Qube bulbs to communicate with one another and auto selecting the optimal bulb/s to act as a hub while serving its primary purpose of smart illumination. This feature is unique to Qube. The built-in Wi-Fi allows maximum connection stability and range.
Qube works with your iOS, Android phones, and your iWatch to allow you the optimal control of your lightings from your phone. Android wearable app will complete by Q2 this year.
The combination of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips within Qube also allows it to sense users within the home via our Qube Sense™ technology and carry out meaningful automation when you are near to the proximity of the bulb.

How does it save energy and the earth?
Millions of Watts are wasted each day. Qube technology does not only automatically switch off lights when unused, it also monitors usage and keeps your home 'Green.' It also allows you to adjust your lights to optimum brightness and control them at the tap of a finger. In turn, this helps you to save on your electrical bills.
How do I set it up?
Unlike light bulbs which require existing sockets, you can plug Qube Lightstrips directly to your powerpoint socket, and it will work perfectly. You can then download our app on Apple Store or Google Play Store to control it on your smartphone.
How fast does Qube work?
Qube is tested to have a maximum latency of 0.5s, the fastest in the market. It is tested to have 95% efficiency in transmitting light commands and messages. This is only possible because Qube offers both Wi-Fi and BLE, which let you access your bulbs from anywhere, at any time.
How can we make it so affordable?
This goes back to Qube’s experience. Having had years of experience in sourcing and manufacturing, we can keep cost low based on volume. Qube light strip does not require any heavy molding required, hence allowing us to complete manufacturing this new product easily.
As Qube will focus its initial sales strategy direct to consumers online. By doing so, there is no need to build in retail margins which add substantially to the purchase cost. We pass the savings directly to you so that your money is well-spent when making your home smart.
How far are we?
Qube Light Strip 3D design and final manufacturing prototype, and the 1st manufacturing batch are done. They have been ready and tested since December 2016. We are currently raising funds to collate enough orders to lower our manufacturing cost by ordering the components in bulk. After our campaign perks start to ship, we will sell our products via our website and through selected partners. We will continue to maintain the product at a very affordable price-point so that your friends and family will still get to benefit.
How many Qube bulbs do we support in one household?
We have connected our smart beta homes with more than 100 bulbs and light strips meshed together. It has 99% efficiency due to the multi-layered mesh connection. If you have more than 100 bulbs, you can easily form a separate mesh network within itself, still connecting to the same router.
What voltage of mains does Qube work with?
110 ~ 260V
Is delivery guaranteed?
We cannot guarantee anything as that is the essence of crowdfunding and risks are involved.
Will you be delivering the plug that is compatible to my country?
Depending on the shipping country, we will be automatically sending the most compatible plug that works within your country.
How long will the wires for the plug be?
We will be giving a 2-meter long wire.
Will there be any stretch goals?
We are working with our suppliers to see if it is possible to create a flexible connector between the Strips to be added as a stretch goal so that you can use the same power adapter to manoeuvre the light strips to cover more areas.
