WYATZ 66: by Erik Light
Erik Light is a passionate storyteller who has always been fascinated by the power of narrative to connect people and make sense of the world. For the past year, he has been working on a very special project - a documentary about the life of Wyatt Eddy, a 14-year-old boy and his 1966 Ford F-100 named Elmer. Shortly after finding his truck, Wyatt was tragically killed in a surfing accident and Elmer the truck is now becoming a symbol of hope and healing for his family and Southern California community. Erik was captivated by the story of this truck and the life that Wyatt lived, so he set out to document it all on film.
How you can help
Erik did things a little differently than most filmmakers - he didn't start with a crowdfunding campaign. Instead, he poured his own resources and time into making the film, driven by a deep love for storytelling and a desire to capture something truly special. The result is a beautifully crafted documentary that honors Wyatt's memory and celebrates the love and resilience of his family and friends.
Now, Erik is reaching out to the community for support. Every dollar raised will go towards the costs of ongoing production, including editing, music licensing and film festival costs.
So please consider showing your support for Erik and his project on Indiegogo. By doing so, you'll not only be helping to bring Wyatt's story to a wider audience but you'll also be helping to support a dedicated and talented storyteller who has a bright future ahead of him.

More to come!
While making a documentary, there are always countless heartwarming and moving moments that don't make it into the final cut. This project is no exception. As an added bonus, they have decided to release behind-the-scenes content and extended interviews on their Rustbucket Rembrandts Patreon page. To stay updated on when the membership opens, head over to patreon.com/RustbucketRembrandts and provide your email address.
What is Rustbucket Rembrandts?
Erik started Rustbucket Rembrandts at the end of 2020. He quit his day job, bought an old truck, and set out across the country, collecting stories of old iron souls and their deep connection with families who keep them on the road.
