Say Hello To Our Flexy Beast
The original wearable, rebuilt for modern lifestyles
![]()
The XOO Belt is a simple solution to an everyday problem: smartphone battery life. No new gadget to lug around but something we wear everyday anyway, redesigned with the help of some clever new technology.
It looks, feels and weighs about the same as a really nice belt… but comes with a mighty 2,100mAh of hidden charge and can charge pretty much any device.

How it works
Charging made simple
![]()
The charging wire is magnetically (and invisibly) nestled against the inside of the belt when not in use. Flick down to reveal, plug it in and pop your phone in your pocket—then carry on about your day. Unplug and flick back up when you’re done.
POCKET-CHARGING // You keep your phone in your pocket so that’s where we charge it.
TOP-UP-AS-YOU-GO // Power-up in the background as you go about your day.
WHEREVER, WHENEVER // Office, bar, train or half way up a mountain. If you’re wearing trousers it’s there when you want it.
NOTHING TO SHOUT ABOUT // No complicated set-up or strange bulges. Just a simple wire that hides away.

The Belt
A Wearable You’ll Actually Want To Wear
Charging your phone is only half the job; we wanted to make sure the belt wasn’t an afterthought.
ONLY THE BEST MATERIALS // We’ve chosen full-grain tanned leather to create a premium belt that’s hard-wearing enough for everyday life.
PROFESSIONAL DESIGN // We’re working with experienced designers on every aspect of the belt’s appearance.
MULTIPLE SIZES // Shipping in small (28–34"), medium (32–38"), large (36–42") and extra-large (40–46").

The Buckle
Better Than ‘Good Enough’
Each buckle contains 2 charging points—to transfer charge in and out of the belt—along with 2x400mAh lithium-ion batteries. We opted to use a ratchet mechanism to better secure your belt along with zinc buckles for solid wear and a beautiful finish.
POLISHED ZINC // We tried many materials; we chose zinc for its resilience and quality finish.
A PERFECT FIT, EVERY TIME // Unlike traditional pin-to-hole belts, our ratchet allows 1/4" adjustments for the snuggest fit.
HOLD TO RELEASE // We’ve included a quick release mechanism to smoothly de-belt.
KNOW WHERE YOU STAND // Five LEDs hidden on the upper side of the buckle show you how much battery you have remaining.

Delivering To Your Doorstep
We’ve done our best to minimize the costs of shipping and have discussed options with all the big couriers. We’re really happy that we’ve managed to keep costs down and even offer free shipping to most countries.
Unfortunately we can’t manage that for all; in order to deliver a product like this safely and securely some extra costs are unavoidable for certain countries.
If you’re in one of those countries that requires an extra shipping fee please include an ‘additional gift’ (as IndieGoGo calls it) equal to the shipping amount on the perk confirmation page.
Our shipping costs are as follows:
Free for: Anyone in USA, Canada, EU, Norway and Switzerland.
$15 for: Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan & Thailand.
$40 for: Everyone else.

Frequently Asked Questions
When will you start shipping? We expect to start shipping orders in July 2015.
When do I choose my belt colour and style of buckle?Shortly after the conclusion of the campaign (approximately 2 weeks afterwards) we will send out a survey where you will be able to select what colour leather strap and which buckle type you would like.
What will be included in the box?For everyone who ordered the standard belt package the following items will be included:- 1x buckle - 1x leather strap - 1x low-profile USB-to-microUSB cable
What are the belt sizes available? We’re currently making belt in size in small (28–34"), medium (32–38"), large (36–42") and extra-large (40–46").
We’re considering expanding the range to include larger sizes. Currently we’re gauging interest—if this applies to you please join our larger size mailing list.
Is it safe to wear?Unlike the lithium-ion batteries that are found in most rechargeable devices—like phones—the flexible batteries encapsulated in our belt are composed of a solid lithium ceramic polymer electrolyte (which means no liquid that can leak and no flammable material that can burn).
Can I take it through airport security?Every effort has been made to conform to the safety parameters set out by the Civil Aviation Authority.
The batteries within the XOO Belt are certified by the manufacturer as ultra safe, being highly resistant to high temperatures, electrical damage, physical impact and even cutting and piercing.
However, as this is a new and innovative piece of technology, we cannot guarantee that all airlines will allow passengers to travel with the XOO Belt and we therefore recommend consulting your airline carrier before travelling with the item.
How do I charge the belt? The belt comes with a microUSB port built into the buckle and charges in the same way as your mobile devices—plugged into the wall with a USB-wall adaptor.
The low-profile USB-to-microUSB adaptor used to charge devices from the belt can also be taken out, turned around and used to charge the belt from a computer.
How long will it take to charge the belt?It takes approximately 3 hours to charge the belt via a USB port.
How long will it take to charge my phone? The belt transfers its entire 2,100mAh charge in around 3 hours but the time taken to charge a phone—which depends on the size of your phone’s battery—will vary.
An iPhone 6 for instance (with a 1,810mAh battery) will usually take just over 2 and a half hours to fully charge from empty.
Does it work with Apple devices? It requires a microUSB-to-Lightning adaptor add-on—we’re supplying official MFi certified adaptors to backers free with the belt.
Technical dimensions?The buckle: 39mm x 86mm x 18mm
The belt: 35mm x 4mm-2mm (it has feathered edges) x 750mm–1,100mm (depending on size chosen).
