Sevgili arkadaşlar,

Ödüllü belgeselimiz Ekümenopolis’in ardından yeni bir uzun metraj belgesel için kolları sıvadık. Bu sefer çıtayı biraz daha yükseltip küresel finans sektörü ve ona hükmeden sermayenin kentlerimizi nasıl şekillendirdiği üzerine uluslararası çapta bir belgesel yapmak amacımız. Resme daha küresel ölçekte bakan, hikayeyi sermayenin merkezinden, New York'dan alıp, finansal yatırım ve emlak araçlarının oluşturduğu çarklardan geçerek kentlerimizi, yaşam alanlarımızı şekillendiren bu devasa mekanizmaya içeriden bir bakışı ekrana taşımayı hedefliyoruz. 

Bize göre oldukça yüksek bir yapım bütçesine sahip olan bu projenin finansmanı için (özellikle sinema kalitesinde ekipman ihtiyacı ve dünyanın belli başlı kentlerinde çekimler yüzünden) yurtiçi ve yurtdışından birçok fona ve ortağa ihtiyacımız olacak. Ancak kar amacı ile tasarlanan birçok yabancı yapımla yarışmamız için projemizi geliştirip sağlam bir fragman hazırlamamız gerekiyor. Bu da New York'da yapılacak bir araştırma ve çekim süreci demek. Filmimize ihtiyacı olan fonu bulabilmemiz büyük ölçüde bu fragmana bağlı. Bu fragmanın başarısı filmin yapımında desteğinizin misliyle geri dönüşü demek olacak.

Dear friends,

After the award-winning “Ecumenopolis: City Without Limits” we have now embarked on another feature-length documentary. This time we are aiming a bit higher, trying to make a truly international film about how the global finance sector and the capital that governs it shape our cities. Looking at the big picture on a global scale, we will start our story from the heart of capital and finance, in New York City. Going through the gears of financial investments, speculation, and real estate instruments, we hope to reveal the inner workings of this elaborate mechanism that dominate our cities and living spaces.

The relatively high production budget of this documentary (due to the cinema-quality equipment needs and shootings in major cities around the world) requires us to find funding and production partners, both domestic and foreign. However, in order to compete with profit-oriented big-budget films for funding, we need to fully develop our project and produce a very strong trailer. And this means researching and shooting in New York, which is quite expensive by itself. Finding the funding for the documentary depends for the most part on this trailer. The success of this trailer means that your contribution to the documentary will be multiplied many fold.
