What We Need & What You Get
Break it down for folks in more detail:
- The fundraising goal is $12,500
- Break-down of funds:
$3,000 for a flat rate hire of the audio/visual engineering team that will capture the final performances.
$3,000 for paying my chamber music collaborators and in some instances their travel for the remainder of the project.
$5,000 for the assembling of a large chamber orchestra for the year of 2018 to record two percussion concerti for the project. I will apply for a grant in order to fund three more concerti that I will be recording before my project's completion
$1,500 for miscellaneous expenses which include, but are not limited to:
- minor instrument repairs
- music rental and printing costs (for the concerti, and for select chamber works that must be rented)
- hall rentals for performance recordings.
- Rewards for funds donated:
$5-10: Personalized thank you note and a link to a single (1) performance video in both performance and commentary formats of the donor’s choosing. For example, if the donor were to select “Psappha” from the repertoire list, they would receive a performance video AND a video with performer commentary, set up explanations, and practice tips for the piece. OR, for those not interested in commentary video, two (2) performance videos.
$20-40: Personalized thank you note and links to two (2) performance videos in both performance and commentary formats of the donor’s choosing. OR, for those not interested in commentary video, four (4) performance videos.
$50-75: Personalized thank you note and links to four (4) performance videos in both performance and commentary formats of the donor’s choosing. OR, for those not interested in commentary video, eight (8) performance videos.
$100-200: Personalized thank you note and links to six (6) performance videos in both performance and commentary formats of the donor’s choosing. OR, for those not interested in commentary video, twelve (12) performance videos.
$250+: Personalized thank you note and a link to four (4) performance videos in both performance and commentary formats of the donor’s choosing. Also, the donor will receive the entire 1st collection of multiple percussion performance/commentary videos, which includes Anvil Chorus by David Lang, Rogosanti by James Wood, King of Denmark by Morton Feldman, Bone Alphabet by Brian Ferneyhough, and I Ching by Per Norgard. OR, for those not interested in commentary video, eight (8) performance videos in addition to the performance videos from the 1st collection of multiple percussion works.
$500+: Personalized thank you note and a link to four (4) performance videos in both performance and commentary formats of the donor’s choosing. Also, the donor will receive the entire 1st collection of multiple percussion performance/commentary videos, whichincludes Anvil Chorus by David Lang, Rogosanti by James Wood, King of Denmark by Morton Feldman, Bone Alphabet by Brian Ferneyhough, and I Ching by Per Norgard. AND the entire collection of solo/chamber repertoire from Iannis Xenakis recorded during the project, which will include Pleiades, Psappha, Rebonds, Komboi, Oophaa, Dmaathen and Okho. OR, for those not interested in commentary video, eight (8) performance videos in addition to the performance videos from the 1st collection of multiple percussion works and the repertoire collection of Iannis Xenakis.
$750+: Personalized thank you note and receipt of the entire 1st collection of multiple percussion performance/commentary videos (includes Anvil Chorus by David Lang, Rogosanti by James Wood, King of Denmark by Morton Feldman, Bone Alphabet by Brian Ferneyhough, and I Ching by Per Norgard ), the entire collection of solo/chamber repertoire from Iannis Xenakis recorded during the project, (includes Pleiades, Psappha, Rebonds, Komboi, Oophaa, Dmaathen and Okho), AND the 2nd collection of multiple percussion works (includes Trilogy by Dave Maric, Wolkenstudie by Johannes Fischer, Ecotones by Matthew Burtner, Monkey Chant by Glen Kotche, and Scratch Data by Raphael Cendo.
$1000+: Personalized thank you note, and the entire video project in digital and physical format.
$1500+: Personalized thank you note, the entire video project in digital and physical format, and a custom set of five (5) woodblocks made of either Padouk, Bubinga, or Purple Heart.
- If I do not raise the necessary funds to realize the remainder of my project, I will pay my musicians and engineers for the work they have put in.
