Dear, Perfect Love Contributors,

I am Emina Kujundzic, artist and filmmaker from Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

A Perfect Love Story is my first narrative film.

Once upon a time there was a couple. They lived in a gray winter reality. HE was a charming French photojournalist and gentleman, while SHE was a young and restless Bosnian artist. One smog morning, after they robbed a bank they leave the city in their Nouvelle Vague old-timer. They pass through a tunnel and find themselves in a colorful summer fantasy. On the road to the coast, their relationship is constantly questioned. Finally, in this very Paradise-on-Earth, does their love come to an end?

With this film I intend to raise concurrent yet universal questions. Can love survive postmodern, idiosyncratic messages, followed by an analytical and philosophical emotional evolution? How can one be content while all knowingly and informed? How to gain and maintain the acknowledgement and approval of the other? Can one survive the contemporary Bosnian&Herzegovinian reality by avoiding to deal with its past, how to save the day but plan the future and, most importantly, how to love and be loved?

I was lucky enough to work with an incredibly talented young cast who donated their time to the project, along with an amazing crew, whose generosity allowed us to film without any significant film funding. We’ve come as far as we can without funding and now we are preparing for the last days of production and need your help!

With your help we can finish the film and discover if there is such a thing called Perfect Love and what happens after: "And they lived happily ever after."
