Hi! My name is Will Colding, and I’m a film student at New York University. This semester I am directing a short film named ‘Abe’ for my Intermediate Narrative course.
The film is a comedy which centers around a self-important businessman named Abe whose weekday morning routine is broken when he runs out of coffee one day. He leaves his apartment on a mission to get a cup of coffee, but his search is complicated because, unbeknownst to Abe, New York has suffered a viral outbreak which has zombified the population. He bumbles about the city, unknowingly skirting death all while getting increasingly frustrated that the universe hasn’t summoned a cup of joe for him yet.
We have some equipment allotted to us: we’re shooting the film on the Sony EX-1, a high definition camera. We have lights, we have sound…what we currently don’t have are props, set pieces, makeup or transportation. We have some funding, but it isn’t enough to complete production.
We’re looking to raise $800 in the next few weeks to cover the costs of transporting equipment and crew to and from the set, renting props, and paying for parking and meals for the crew. Any and all donations are welcomed and appreciated. Every pledge makes a difference, so please give what you can afford.
Every person who donates will get a special thanks in the credits of the finished film as recognition of their crucial contribution to the production of the movie.
- Donating $15 or more will grant you access to a digital download of the film when post-production wraps.
- Those who donate $30 or more will receive a personal copy of the film on DVD.
- A donation of $50 or more will get you the DVD as well as behind-the-scenes special features.
- $75 or more earns you a Blu-Ray edition of the film with special features.
- $100 or more gets you all of that plus a personalized thank you video from the director.
- Donations of and exceeding $300 grant the contributor executive producer status and credit as such in the film.
Again every donation is worth something, so please pledge whatever you can, and we’ll make a great movie together.
Thank you!
