Ability to Work is a new entrepreneurial non-profit seeking to become a self-sustaining non-profit after this campaign. We are a supportive, inclusive employer that will train and employ differently-abled students and young adults in a main street business. Differently-abled are cut off from much need services in the educational system upon graduation.  For most Developmentally Disabled, graduation means a 70% reduction in services. Many developmentally disabled become cloistered at home due to this reduction in much needed services.

The Ability2Work team is made up of professionals, parents, family, and friends of children with disabilities, whose sole mission is to change that outcome.

Ability 2 Work  returns the fundamental desires of employment giving dignity and hope back to the disabled population aging out of the school system.  Ability 2 Work  acquired a bakery and café where we will train and employee differently-abled people.  Ability 2 Work is launching a new model we call supportive, inclusive employer: we focus on what a person can do--not what they can't.

The funds we raise will be used to obtain ingredients and equipment to get the bakery  and cafe up and running.  Ability 2 Work seeks to be free of the traditional non-profit model by becoming self sustaining and using the revenue from the Cafe and Bakery to support employment of the students and employees.

Any help you can give will be life changing for children that are just trying to have what we all want, a promising future.  We understand times are hard and if you are unable to contribute financially, we would be so grateful if you shared our campaign with your friends and family.   Thank you for all of your support!
