Hello friends! I am very excited to release my 14th album "ONE WITH THE TIDE" on my Alice Otter Music label. As always, my goal is to connect with you in a deep way through song.  I strive to create lyrics and melodies that MOVE people to treat each other with LOVE and RESPECT, to LOOK DEEPER into our emotions and thoughts, to PROTECT this beautiful PLANET that is our home, and to WORK FOR JUSTICE for all. The album contains 8 original songs and one cover of a tune that has been special to me for a very, very long time. (I'm guessing it may be special to you too, but I don't want to ruin the surprise!)

The band on this record includes: my longtime bassist Rob Kohler; my regular accompanist when I tour, Mikey Stevens on electric guitar; drummer Nick Kirby; Jenny Conlee-Drizos (from the Decemberists) on B3, Piano, and Accordion; Stevie James Wright (who has played with me for many years but is currently the bassist for Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons) on slide guitar and mandolin; Michal Palzewicz on cello;  Phoenix Sigalove and Emily Turner on backing vocals; Don Harriss on Fender Rhodes; and Tom Berich on Steel Drums, congas, and percussion. I am happy to be producing this record with help from some amazing folks. The basic tracks were recorded at The Studio at Pacifica (formerly known as Steve Miller studios) by Dennis Dragon with additional tracks recorded at The Panther in Portland, Oregon with Steve Drizos at the helm,  Kirbz Studio in Phoenix, Oregon with Nick Kirby, and French Bulldog Music House in Talent, Oregon. The project was mixed by Bret Levick at French Bulldog and will be mastered by Mike Wells Mastering in Los Angeles.

I started production on this record last summer and am currently ready for mastering. I've borrowed a significant sum to get to where I am on the project and need to raise funds to complete paying for mixing and mastering and to pay back the original loan ASAP. Things I have to pay for: Recording studio time and recording engineers, the wonderful Musicians, Mixing studio time and engineer, & Mastering (approximately $25,000); Cover Art & Graphic Design (approximately $2000); Manufacture of the actual CDs & records (approx. $6500 for 2000 CDs and 500 records); promotion assistance to radio and press (approx $4000); music videos (approx $3000); then there is tour support; etc. It's amazingly expensive to do this type of work and I'm so grateful to those who are willing to buy the album early to make it possible for me to release new music! Every single person that backs this campaign will be a part of creating magic! This campaign isn't about large "donations" (although I would be grateful for those)--it's about MANY PEOPLE COMING TOGETHER! As our grandmas would say "Many hands make light work." My goal is to get 1,000 people to participate in this campaign by ordering something--from one song to the download, CD or Vinyl album and the other perks. The album will be officially released in January 2018 but backers will receive perks and the music by the end of July. (Vinyl will take a little longer to get to you, but it will be worth the wait!) You'll notice that the Tshirts, Hats, etc have the logo "Nature Reigns" instead of my name. "Nature Reigns" is the name of one of the new songs on the album.
