Alleycats is a short film produced by Blow Studio and directed by Alejandro Jimenez and Bernardo Gonzalez. A violent and dark action thriller set in a universe where gangs of cats fight to control the streets.

The
first question we asked ourselves when we started developing Alleycats was: What
an adult audience would like to see in an animated movie?. We realized we did not want to create another funny or melodramatic animation short film. We wanted to make something focused on an adult audience, so we developed
a dark story of vengeance with anti-heroes, bloody action and a sordid
atmosphere. Our intention was to show a different and hardly explored side of
animation.

With this project we want to take a step forward. Alleycats will be our
first animated short film, and this is a challenge and a turning point for us. We
are creating a top-notch short film with a dark cinematic look and frantic
visual narrative elements.
Also, there is a universe far beyond the story of Alleycats. A whole world
full of different gangs and cat breeds fighting each other to control the city.
Once we release the short film we will try to expand this universe in every
possible way.
La primera pregunta que nos hicimos cuando empezamos a desarrollar la historia fue: ¿como espectadores adultos, que nos gustaría ver en animación? En ese momento supimos que no queríamos hacer otro corto de comedia o dramático. Queríamos hacer algo enfocado al público adulto, así que desarrollamos una historia oscura de venganza con antihéroes, acción sangrienta y atmósfera sórdida, en un intento de mostrar un punto de vista diferente dentro del campo de la animación.

Con este proyecto queremos ir un paso más allá. Alleycats será nuestro primer cortometraje de animación, y esto es un reto y un punto de inflexión para nosotros. Nuestra intención es crear un cortometraje de alto nivel con un look cinematográfico tenebroso y una narrativa visual frenética.
Además, hay un universo más allá de la historia de Alleycats. Todo un mundo lleno de bandas y razas distintas luchando entre ellas para controlar la ciudad. Una vez lancemos el cortometraje trataremos de expandir el universo por todas las vías posibles.

BLOW STUDIO
We are a CGI animation & VFX production studio based in Seville (Spain)
mainly focused on advertising. We have worked for important clients such as
MTV, Johnny Walker, Lynx, Rdio or River Island.
We are also passionate about filmmaking
and we have produced and directed our own short films, “Project Shell” and “5”.
We have also co-produced and worked in postproduction for the yet to be
released short film “The Legend of the Drowned” by Mario Venegas.
Somos un estudio de animación por ordenador y efectos digitales con base en Sevilla (España) con nuestra principal actividad centrada en la publicidad. Hemos trabajado para clientes como MTV, Jhonny Walker, Axe, Rdio o River Island.
Debido a nuestra pasión por el cine también tenemos una línea de producción propia donde hemos producido y dirigido los cortometrajes “Project Shell” y “5”, y coproducido y hecho la postproducción de “La dama de sal” de Mario Venegas, aún en fase de postproducción.

After 2 years of screenwriting, different versions of animatic, pre-production
and saving money for the film we are finally in production. The quality of the
project is very important for us, that's why we need an extra boost to cover
these areas:
- Finishing the animation process (about 40% done!)
- Music and sound post production.

It is not being easy to accomplish the scheduled objectives to finish the
film, that´s why we have chosen crowdfunding as a platform to give visibility
to the project and raise funds. That´s why we will appreciate any kind of
